Back in November, I wrote about the visit that Donald Trump had with Joe Biden in the White House after Trump won the election against Kamala Harris.
It was a meeting over the transition process. It appeared to be a surprisingly cordial exchange, with both Biden and Trump smiling. Even Jill Biden gave Trump a letter for Melania saying, "Congratulations."
Not exactly how you might expect Biden to behave if he truly thought Trump was "Hitler." But that was, of course, always ridiculous propaganda.

Biden surely didn't seem angry at Trump.

But now, in a new interview in The Spectator, President Trump is dishing on some of the interesting conversation he had with Biden, including who Biden was, in fact, "angry" at over the election.
‘[Biden] said, “I blame Barack… and also I blame Nancy Pelosi.’

Who did Joe Biden blame for being pushed out of his role? Donald Trump tells Ben Domenech, The Spectator’s US editor-at-large, about his conversation with Biden after the 2024 election.https://t.co/rWkECsuSUb pic.twitter.com/lNPOqGGb0R
“I asked him, I said, ‘So who do you blame?’ Because he was very angry, you know, he was a very angry guy, actually. And he said, ‘I blame Barack,’” Trump said.
“And he said, ‘And I also blame [former House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi.’
Trump asked him about Harris. But Biden didn't blame her.
"He said, ‘No, I don’t blame her,’ which was interesting,” Trump explained.
“He didn’t blame [Harris]. He blamed … he told me he blamed those two people,” Trump said.
That's going to tick off Obama and Pelosi that Biden said that to Trump.
I can completely see Biden having that conversation because he felt aggrieved that Pelosi and Obama shoved him to the side. At this point, I'm not sure he's fully aware that it might not be a good idea to tell Trump that because of Biden's cognitive issues. Or perhaps that's a way to have a little dig at them by sharing that with Trump, knowing it would likely come out at some point.
But also it tailors with what we've seen about Biden's relationship with Obama and Pelosi. It's also clear he feels like Pelosi threw him under the bus after a 50-year friendship, and they reportedly haven't worked out their issues since she helped push him aside. Biden reportedly didn't even call her after she broke her hip, a serious injury at her age, and Pelosi's daughter Alexandra was quite frosty about that.
It's an interesting comment on Kamala Harris, if this is true, that he isn't mad at her, that he doesn't regard her as a power player against him in this whole equation. That's perhaps more of a hit on her than if he was angry at her.
