You're Not Going to Believe What Arizona's AG Is Saying About Trump's Liz Cheney Comment

You're not going to believe this one.

Or maybe, given all we've seen at this point, you will.

The Democrat Attorney General of Arizona, Kris Mayes, is now looking into President Donald Trump's comments that Liz Cheney doesn't know what it's like to experience war, while she's for sending Americans off to war. The "hoax" some in the media immediately started spreading is that, somehow, what he said was a "threat."

According to KPNX-TV:

"I have already asked my criminal division chief to start looking at that statement, analyzing it for whether it qualifies as a death threat under Arizona's laws," Attorney General Mayes, a first-term Democrat, said during Friday's taping of "Sunday Square Off."

"I'm not prepared now to say whether it was or it wasn't, but it is not helpful as we prepare for our election and as we try to make sure that we keep the peace at our polling places and in our state."

While KPNX-TV, NBC's Phoenix affliate, related part of what Trump said, they did not give the full context of the remark. Instead they spoke about how it was "interpreted":

"She's a radical war hawk. Let's put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let's see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face."

The "nine barrels" comment has been interpreted as suggesting Cheney could face a firing squad.

How can you interpret Cheney having a rifle as "facing a firing squad" in any reasonable interpretation? There was absolutely no mention of a "firing squad" by Trump.

The context was very clear that he was speaking about Cheney not having faced war while having no problem sending  Americans off to fight in them. The fact that either the media or the AG would entertain the comments at all as an issue is disgusting, particularly right before the election in a swing state. Notice the AG isn't prepared to say now whether it "qualifies" -- but she wants us to know she's looking into it anyway.

Trump was in Dearborn, Michigan, and he again made clear what he had said was about her being a war hawk.

Meanwhile while what Trump is saying is being twisted by the media into a pretzel to make it sound bad, Democrats are actually saying bad things and insulting Americans. That runs from comments by Joe Biden calling millions of Trump supporters "floating garbage," to Tim Walz throwing what appeared to be a homophobic slur at Elon Musk.

It's the Democrats who are losing their minds and trying to throw everything up against the wall. What they don't seem to get is how normal people will see this, look at what was actually said, and this is now prompting more people to vote for Trump to stop the insanity.
