The Democratic elite has managed to shove Joe Biden to the side and now the move seems to be on to swap Kamala Harris into the nomination. While she has some big endorsements and delegates who have come over to her, there are some who are not on board with all this "selection rather than election," putting someone in who didn't win a primary vote for the position.
Harris is also still behind in the polls, and her chances in the Electoral College are not looking great, according to CNN data analyst Harry Enten.
What do the elite think voters and donors think of all this when they kept telling everyone Joe Biden was the best choice and he was just in tip-top shape (up until three weeks ago)? Did they really think that people would believe this or wouldn't hold them accountable for all the election manipulation they had going on?

Some aren't buying it, like Democratic donor John Morgan, who donated $1 million to Biden.
"What I didn't like was a coronation instead of a convention. I didn't like the idea of two or three people picking the nominee, because I believe a convention would have provided perhaps a stronger candidate," Morgan said on "The Ingraham Angle," Monday.
"I don't believe she can win."
He thought the idea of a convention decision was now dead.
"Once Pelosi endorsed her, that was the end of the convention because Pelosi had called for a mini-convention. That's over. It's Kamala Harris, and they're going to live and die with her."
But he didn't think she was the strongest candidate.
"My thought was, if you could pick anybody, don't you go and pick the two strongest people to win? I don't think they did." [....]
"I think a combination of Joe Manchin, Andy Beshear, Josh Shapiro, Mark Kelly – I got a thousand different scenarios that I think make more sense to win."
Morgan said he thinks if the Trump campaign could pick who to run against, they would pick Harris.
Oof. That shows you how little he thinks of her, but I think that's true. They think she's more unpopular than Joe Biden.
There's likely to be more who feel that way as well, although she's recently hauled in serious donation money. Certainly there are voters including Democrats who are disturbed about how this has all gone down.

Profanity alert. Morgan really did her in with this final shot on X: "Joe Biden’s endorsement of Kamala is his f**k you to all who pushed him out. Be careful what you wish for."
Oh, my. But that does sound like the nasty Joe Biden we've all seen; if he thinks they shoved him out, why not complicate their efforts by upending the idea of an open convention or any kind of open selection? There are so many machinations going on here, that's for sure.
