I wrote earlier about the wild exchange between Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) during a House Oversight Committee hearing on Thursday night. The hearing was about advancing a contempt resolution regarding Attorney General Merrick Garland for defying a subpoena for the audio of Joe Biden's interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur.

The committee did advance the resolution, but the argument on the way was quite something. Even Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) and Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the House Oversight Chair both seemed taken aback by it when Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) went off into the stratosphere with a rant, even cursing in the process.
Warning for graphic language:
Rep. Greene makes fun of Rep. Crockett's fake eyelashes and all hell breaks loose.

You have to watch the entire exchange.
SNL couldn't create a skit like this: pic.twitter.com/hSzJBRVk08
Now, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has commented on the exchange and he's pretty much right on point.
In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show.

Today, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show. pic.twitter.com/y6wxLX5FIV
But that was too much for AOC. How dare he talk about decorum? That interrupts AOC's fictitious belief about herself — that she's some kind of noble leftist hero, standing up for women and not just someone having a fit at Greene.
I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a “both sides” issue.

But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one.
And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too.
Enjoy your Friday. https://t.co/cInF4YXO2y

The exchange had nothing to do with racism and misogyny. Heck, if anything it was Crockett who was attacking Greene over her body. Where's the defense of Greene for that from AOC? Or the defense of Greene for Crockett calling Greene "butch"? Sadly lacking. AOC herself attacked Greene, referring to her as "Baby girl." That's treating a female member of Congress like she's a child just because you're mad about what she had to say. AOC isn't a defender of women, she's just a partisan ranter who will throw down any blocks she can to help the left. Indeed, she's failed to support women when it comes to how Biden and the Democrats have weakened Title IX.
Fetterman isn't saying anything terribly revelatory, it's what most were thinking about the exchange. But it's brave in a way because Democrats tend to shy away from stating the truth anymore.
People had fun disabusing AOC of her inflated opinion of herself.

Perhaps the best response was from GOP registration dynamo Scott Presler, who reminded her how Democrats are in trouble in Pennsylvania.
Did someone say, “Pennsylvania”?
— ThePersistence (@ScottPresler) May 17, 2024
If you live in PA — & want to help elect President Trump — reach out to me.
We’re making huge voter registration gains across the Commonwealth.
Young people don’t want to have to go to war for Joe Biden.
That's the bottom line and that's what the hearing ultimately was about: Biden is in trouble and no matter how many tantrums the Democrats throw, they're not going to be able to deflect from that.
