WATCH: Hawley Wrecks Mayorkas With Revelation About What's on DHS Employee's Social Media Regarding Hamas

We've seen a lot of concerning reactions from people on the left regarding the Hamas attack on Israel and Israel's response to the terrorists, perhaps most notably from the Democratic members of the Squad, who seem to want to give the terrorists a pass.

But they aren't the only folks in government causing some concern with their radical positions.

As my colleague streiff reported:

Citing Joe Biden's support of Israel, a senior State Department official has resigned. Joshua Paul, director of congressional and public affairs for the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs for over 11 years, protested the White House's decision to send arms and ammunition to Israel while it is at war with Hamas. According to Paul, “blind support for one side” was leading to policy decisions that were “shortsighted, destructive, unjust and contradictory to the very values we publicly espouse.”

Blind support? Terrorists who slaughter hundreds of people, including grandmothers and babies, versus Israel being able to defend itself. This isn't a hard choice. If you can't make the correct one, that's a big problem, and you shouldn't work for the State Department.

Paul wasn't the only one. Reportedly, others were considering resigning as well. If that's their reason, good riddance.

But Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) revealed even more concerning information during a hearing with Director of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.

Hawley asked Mayorkas during the hearing about disturbing posts made by one of his DHS employees.

Among the things the employee said were "F--k Apartheid and any Jews that support Israel" and asked if Israel was "ready for their downfall." That bias could potentially affect the conduct of their job. But that wasn't all.

Mayorkas' response was to defend the employee. He said that he made a distinction between bad speech and speech that endorsed terrorist ideology, "speech that does not rise to that level."

That's when Hawley reeled him in. He revealed the employee had also posted a picture on the day of the attack on Israel of a fake graphic of a Hamas paraglider dropping into Israel, with the caption, "Free Palestine!"

How vile of Mayorkas to paint himself somehow as the aggrieved victim. If you don't address the problem, then yes, you, Mayorkas, are suggesting that this type of behavior will be tolerated/allowed. "This person WORKS for the Department of Homeland Security!" Hawley snapped. Hawley pressed him on what he had done with this employee. Had he fired her?  He then blasted him, talking about attitudes like this that have Jewish students barricaded in libraries while Mayorkas' employee is "celebrating genocide" against Israel, Hawley said. And Mayorkas is defending the employee.

How many more people are there in DHS and in the Biden administration who harbor such feelings? That's a question that should concern us all.
