The Senate Foreign Relations Committee was conducting a hearing on Joe Biden's nominee to be ambassador to Israel, Jacob Lew, on Wednesday. Lew had previously served as Secretary of the Treasury under Barack Obama. 

As we can see with current events, that's a very critical position, especially since the policy taken may impact greatly whether there is peace or war in the region. 

But the official proceeding was interrupted by screeching protesters attacking Israel and demanding a ceasefire in their war against Hamas. You can hear one of them screaming that they were funding "genocide in Gaza."

I'm not even sure what she was screaming about "800 human rights lawyers."  

But Sen. James Risch  (R-ID) handled it "like a champ," as Sophie Louise Delquié, Strategic Communications advisor to the Senate GOP, observed.

There were two other protesters there as well. All three were then removed by the Capitol Police after screaming and creating a disturbance. Among the  shouts were "We need a ceasefire now!" "How many children need to be killed?" "Stop sending aid to Israel!" as well as "Palestinians need freedom."

So I want to know if these folks are even going to be arrested, much less get any time at all for disrupting an official proceeding. Doesn't doing that require years in prison now, according to Democratic rules? 

But we all know the answer to this. I'd be surprised if they got anything more than a summons that will later be dismissed -- that seems to be the way leftist protesters like this are commonly treated. And the screeching here isn't going to cause anyone in that room to change their mind about anything. 

There are some Democrats who are completely in line with these screechy people. Radical Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and some of her Squad members have also called for a ceasefire. Even CNN couldn't believe what AOC was saying on the subject during an interview. 

They don't want to deal with the reality that the real attempted genocide here is against Israel, which Hamas and its supporters want to wipe off the face of the planet. Many on X wondered about the "insurrection" word. 

They always just start screaming incoherent shit.
