Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been largely out of the spotlight since she was booted as the House Speaker and Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) took over.

That’s a vast improvement over Pelosi. We’ve seen McCarthy blasting the Biden administration for the two-tiered system of justice that they’re practicing. We’ve seen him demand that reporters pay attention to the big questions about Joe Biden’s classified document scandal that they seem to just keep skipping right over. He’s now talking about the possible impeachment of Attorney General Merrick Garland. Now we just have to see everyone get on board with impeaching Biden, as Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has done.

I don’t know whether Pelosi was missing the attention, but she did an interview with former Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who is now a paid flack for MSNBC. They even listed Pelosi as “Speaker Emerita” in one of the chyrons, which is sort of quietly hilarious and indicative of how much she misses the title.

Pelosi said, “I had one justice tell me he thought the other justices were people of integrity, like a Clarence Thomas. I’m like, ‘Get out of here.'” I’m taking a guess it’s a liberal justice, which is why she’s just furious that that justice isn’t going along with the Democratic effort to try to get Thomas. But imagine Pelosi thinking that she, of all people, can talk about anybody else’s “ethics.” Notice the chyron in this one where it says she’s calling for term limits for the justices. Is she kidding? She’s been in office since the year one. She would never agree to term limit herself, and her position is a political position. There’s a specific reason that the Supreme Court doesn’t have term limits — it’s supposed to help free justices from politics and influence.

Then I think she revealed why she was doing the interview — to spread a wild-eyed crazy conspiracy theory about “Donald Trump forces” being involved in the censuring of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). We reported how the House finally held him to at least a little bit of account for spreading falsehoods about Russia collusion when they censured him.

Pelosi claims that when they had the first vote on censuring Schiff a week ago, it lost. Now, she’s claiming it passed because “the word is Donald Trump forces weighed in and now the vote changed. Because they’re protecting the unpatriotic, unscrupulous behavior of Donald Trump.” That’s nonsensical, and she knows it because the reason it failed at first was that it had a $16 million fine initially included in it that some felt was unconstitutional. It was very clear that was the reason, and once it was removed, the people who had a problem with that voted for it.

So why is Pelosi spreading this nonsense? It’s because she wants Schiff to take over the seat of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). This is an effort to build him up to the base, to make the unscrupulous Californian seem more like a “hero” against Donald Trump, rather than the person being held to account for pushing falsehoods that he did.

“Let me say this, one thing I am is strategic, and when I’m strategic, you have to know what you’re talking about,” she argued. She just proved that she didn’t know what she was talking about. She then finished, saying Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) would be Speaker in 2025.

Don’t count your chickens, Nancy. I wouldn’t bet your freezer full of designer ice cream on that.
