It’s sort of funny how fearful the left is of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. We saw how they did this same thing with President Donald Trump, making anyone whom they feel might beat them politically into some kind of evil racist or the next “Hitler.” That’s a shameful diminution of the horror Adolf Hitler brought and it’s also a ridiculous thing to paint every Republican opponent like that, even someone as milquetoast as Mitt Romney.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) was engaging in this type of nonsense in a new video he put out attacking DeSantis. We last left Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) on the steps of the Supreme Court as he falsely claimed there was a “law” that allowed Joe Biden to bypass the Constitution and unilaterally cancel student debt. His new video is equally clueless.

Let’s start with why this member of the Democratic Socialists of America is attacking DeSantis. He’s being a ridiculous clout-chaser.

He says he’s sending DeSantis two books to help him with his “antiracist” education that are decidedly racist books. He also includes a book about how to be “kind” in kindergarten and sage to clear away the “evil” spirits. What’s funny is he thinks he’s attacking DeSantis while he’s telling on himself about his issues by sending out racist books.

The left has made up all kinds of lies about DeSantis banning books without factual basis, and Bowman continues that lie here, falsely claiming that DeSantis somehow wants to get rid of teaching African-American history. That’s just a lie. What DeSantis is against is the political indoctrination in schools and books with explicit sex acts and pornography that would not be age appropriate or again, are indoctrination. So is socialist Bowman just cool with such things?

Maybe instead of pushing race-baiting nonsense in the hopes that he can raise his political profile, Bowman should concentrate on all the problems that are going on in New York. Maybe he might wonder why so many people are fleeing New York for Florida if Florida is so bad under Ron DeSantis.

Dazed and abused by high taxes and rising crime, more New Yorkers fled to Florida in 2022 than any year in history, according to new data.

A staggering 64,577 Empire Staters exchanged their driver’s licenses for the Sunshine State version last year, according to figures from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

“They come in every day,” a staffer at a Jacksonville DMV office told The Post this week with a weary laugh. “I hear all the complaints. I feel like a therapist sometimes.”

The worker said the venting refugees harbor a long list of grievances — with taxes and eroding quality of life at the top of the list.

But that might require some self-awareness from Bowman and a recognition that the leftist agenda is a failure.

The DeSantis Warroom account, DeSantis’ rapid response people, also had a few words for Bowman.

First, they mocked him for trying to draft off DeSantis for political attention.

Then they sent him a reminder about the Constitution.
