Chuck Schumer in True Panic Mode About Release of Jan. 6 Footage

I’ve been writing about the panic that we’re seeing from some of the Jan. 6 Committee over the thousands of hours of footage that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy allowed Tucker Carlson and his crew to view. Why would they be so upset about people viewing the footage or knowing more about what went on that day? Isn’t that what they kept saying they wanted? Yet suddenly we’re seeing them melting down and coming up with all kinds of reasons why more light on the subject is such a bad thing.

We saw some of the members of the Committee — Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), former representative Adam Kinzinger, and Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) — all flipping out and throwing tantrums. Schiff, the man who promoted all kinds of Russian collusion fantasies, claimed that Carlson pushed “Kremlin talking points” and would promote conspiracy theories. Kinzinger chastised McCarthy for sharing it with Carlson and not the rest of Congress or investigators without explaining why releasing the truth is bad and why his Committee didn’t release the video footage. Raskin managed to contradict himself, saying the release could endanger security and then saying why wasn’t it released to everyone, including the public? Then he claimed that somehow releasing more of what happened would foster “MAGA propaganda.” You could feel how desperate they all are about what people might see in the footage.

Now, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has joined them, in full panic mode. How much is he losing it? Chuck compared letting people see/know more about what happened on Jan. 6 to 9/11. I’m not kidding. Read on, as Schumer whines, that McCarthy is “needlessly exposing” the Capitol complex to “one of the worst security risks since 9/11.”

Making that claim that showing footage to Tucker Carlson rises to the level of 9/11 is insane. It’s insulting and diminishing what Americans suffered on that day. I get that Chuck is always political, but that’s a particularly shameful thing to say, especially from a NY senator. He also claimed that the “Senate” was against this release. I didn’t see a vote taken there, Chuck. You don’t speak on behalf of the whole of the Senate.

Democrats are throwing out anything they can to try to attack the release and denigrate what might come out. They released the footage that they wanted to release through the Committee that fit their political agenda, so why not release all of it that doesn’t impact security? It’s our Congress and we deserve to see it. They work for us and not the other way, no matter how much that folks like Schumer think that is the case.

Let’s talk about that security, that then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had a hand in and so completely failed on that day. Shouldn’t we want to know more about how to improve it, since it did so fail? But, no, the Jan. 6 Committee was only about political agenda and trying to go after President Donald Trump.

But it looks like Schumer and the rest of his coterie are going to have more fits if what Tucker Carlson said is true. He said they’ve already seen some things that contradict what we’ve been told. So prepare for more meltdowns to come when Carlson lays that out next week as they continue to review the footage.
