We reported earlier that according to reports, Joe Biden was considering declaring a “climate emergency” so then he could use the Defense Production Act to impose his climate agenda on private industry, and spend all kinds of money that Congress wasn’t allowing him to do.
Now, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has confirmed that they are considering the idea, although they will not be declaring it this week.

“He’s going to take, as I said, additional climate actions in that vein tomorrow, and he’s going to continue — he’s not going to just stop with the actions of tomorrow, but I would not plan [an] announcement this week on [a] national climate emergency,” Jean-Pierre told reporters during a press briefing.
“Everything’s on the table. It’s just not going to be this week on that decision,” she added.
Jean-Pierre added that if the administration does declare the emergency, it would unlock a certain “pot of funding” but didn’t give many specifics.
“Declaring a public health emergency is very different from declaring a climate emergency. Each unlocks a different set of priorities and a different pot of funding,” she said, contrasting the potential for an abortion emergency.
So, they’re considering doing an end-run around being blocked by Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) in Congress and the Constitution, spending us into oblivion anyway. Now, we don’t know what he’s going to outline yet. But the leftist take on what should be done for a “climate emergency” is more than a little concerning.
In a blueprint, the Center for Biological Diversity outlined executive actions under a “climate emergency”

Stop oil and gas drilling

They’re going to try to force us into killing fossil fuels, which will make the pain from rising gas prices and inflation that we have felt look like a holiday. It would kill the economy and devastate the country — all in the service of their climate craziness. Talk about a reason to throw them all out. If you didn’t have a reason before, this alone should motivate you.
But imagine the utter irony of those words from Jean-Pierre. It’s such a peril that we might have to declare a climate emergency, but hey, no rush, it wouldn’t be this week. If they tripped over all the hypocrisy they pushed, they’d probably never be up straight on their feet again.
Biden plans on announcing some climate actions in Massachusetts tomorrow. He’s probably resting up for that trip which is why he hasn’t had any public events for two days.
