As we get closer and closer to the midterms, it’s becoming clear that Democrats are headed for a disaster.

We see Joe Biden getting poor marks across the board, inflation at the highest it’s been in 40 years, with gas prices through the roof and a shrinking GDP, while Biden refuses delivery on that reality. Only 19 percent of the respondents in a recent Issues & Insights/TIPP poll thought that Joe Biden should run again in 2024.

So, what does that mean for the congressional Democrats? A new NPR/Marist poll tells the tale of which party Americans are more likely to vote for in each of their districts — and it isn’t the Democrats.

New NPR/Marist poll is remarkable

Notably, the poll found 52 percent of Latino voters would vote for a Republican compared to 39 percent who would choose a Democrat. For voters who have children under 18 years old, 60 percent said they’d vote for the GOP candidate while just 32 percent said they’d pick a Democrat. More voters under 45 years old also broke for Republicans (50 percent) over Democrats (40 percent).

Overall, 47 percent of voters surveyed said they’d choose the Republican candidate while 44 percent said they’d vote for the Democrat. More registered Democrat voters said they’d vote for a Republican in the midterms (7 percent) than Republican voters who would vote to send a Democrat to Congress (3 percent). Among independents, 45 percent said they’d opt for the Republican candidate compared to 38 percent who said they’d vote for the Democrat. Ten percent said they’re still unsure with a few months left before November’s midterms.

Those numbers are the death knell for the Democrats’ dreams, and it’s not exactly a conservative-leaning poll. Multiple polls have shown now that Democrats seem to be hemorrhaging Hispanic voters — voters whom the Democrats critically need.

Then the culture wars, with Democrats pushing extreme things like CRT and gender identity politics, may be having a big impact on parents in the congressional races, as those issues certainly did in Virginia this past November.

Parents are looking at how radical the Democrats have become, and they’re saying no. In this poll, you see the folks with children under 18 going big time for the Republicans by almost 30 points. What makes this poll especially interesting is that Republicans are grabbing younger voters, with a 10-point advantage for the GOP with Americans under 45. Generally, you would think that young people would tend to be more Democratic or left-leaning, so this is an eye-opener and a wonderful indication not only for November but for the future.

Prepare for a lot of Democrats crying — it’s going to be sweet.
