BREAKING: School Shooting in Arlington, TX

There’s been a school shooting at Timberview High School in Arlington, TX, which is located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

The incident began as a school fight in a classroom on the second floor of the high school, but then one student pulled a gun on the other student and began shooting.

Four people were injured in the incident, three were taken to the hospital. Two had gunshot wounds, including a student and a staff member. One pregnant teacher was hurt when she fell and was treated at the scene.

The police identified 18-year-old Timothy George Simpkins as the suspect. He’s believed to have fled the scene in a 2018 silver Dodge Charger with license plate PFY-6260. They said he had not yet been caught, and that he should be considered armed and dangerous. Multiple agencies are now hunting for him. “We feel confident that the shooter will be located very, very soon,” Republican Gov. Greg Abbott told reporters.

A KTLA reporter posted a video she received from her daughter of part of the incident.

The school was placed on lockdown after the shooting and then the students were bused to Mansfield Performing Arts Center to be reunited with their parents.
