Biden Team Admits There Are No Plans to Rescue Americans Trapped Outside of Kabul

The Biden team has admitted that there are no plans to rescue or get out any of the Americans who are now outside of Kabul.

According to multiple outlets, officials from the State and Defense departments told Senate staffers that there are no plans and they don’t know of a way to save those people now because they don’t think they can get them past the Taliban checkpoints into the city.

That sounds like they are basically writing off potentially thousands of Americans, not to mention thousands of allies that helped us during the war and who we had committed to protect. As we noted, the Biden team doesn’t even have a clear number of how many people might be trapped and it may be far more than they have publicly acknowledged. Numbers range from 10-15,000 to up to 40,000 Americans spread throughout the country behind enemy lines, with several thousand in and around Kabul, according to Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby. They have gotten out the majority of the embassy staff and some of the Afghan allies.

The Biden team also told Americans who are in Kabul now that they have to figure out their own way to get to the airport and through the Taliban.

Fox said they reached out to the State and Defense departments for answers after hours for comment but got nothing back.

Surely doesn’t look like they planned for every eventuality.

Jake Sullivan was asked yesterday if they would pull the troops before all the Americans and Afghan allies got out. He said he would not comment on “hypotheticals” in a maddening response. He also claimed that they were going to hold the Taliban to a promise to provide “safe passage” through to the airport for people. But obviously, that’s a relative promise as we have seen some people getting beaten trying to get through. When you’re relying on Taliban promises, you know you’re up a creek without a paddle.

Sullivan later must have realized how bad this looked, later tweeting that they were trying to get people out.

“When I was asked about whether we’re going to get all Americans out of Afghanistan I said “that’s what we intend to do” and that’s exactly what we’ll do, and are accomplishing right now with HKIA re-opened and operational, thanks to the incredible work of our troops and diplomats,” Sullivan claimed.

The problem is that because of the disastrous way in which the Biden team has handled everything, it may be impossible to get all these people out now without blowing up a lot of stuff and going full-bore back in to get them.

The Biden team has apparently decided to largely write them off. If there were ever an impeachable offense, this should be it, except I’m not sure we would get any more competence from the back-up.
