Biden Team Goes AWOL in the Middle of Afghanistan Disaster

While the disaster is unfolding in Afghanistan, Joe Biden is off on vacation at Camp David.

As we reported yesterday, his handlers said that he may deign to talk to us within in the next “few days.” If they can get him into a coherent position to respond to everything that has happened. The only thing they did was release a picture of him allegedly meeting with his national security team. But they forgot to obscure the CIA operatives on the screen.

“This morning, the President and Vice President met with their national security team and senior officials to hear updates on the draw down of our civilian personnel in Afghanistan, evacuations of SIV applicants and other Afghan allies, and the ongoing security situation in Kabul,” the White House posted on Twitter.

“Security situation” = full-on takeover of the country by the terrorists. And Biden looks weak and unable to deal with anything. We saw what a horror it is at the airport this morning with people trying to flee for their lives and clinging onto the U.S. planes in the vain hope of getting away.

Meanwhile, Biden has nothing listed on his public schedule for today.

But he’s not the only one AWOL in all this. His main spokesperson, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, is also on vacation, starting yesterday until August 22. How convenient. Apparently, all of this wasn’t important enough to cancel her vacation.

Fox tried to reach her yesterday with questions about what was going on and got an auto-reply. “I will be out of the office from August 15th-August 22nd,” read the email returned to Fox News.

She doubtless doesn’t want to have her face associated anywhere near this mess and is doing her best to avoid having to take questions on it, just like her boss. Same thing with Kamala Harris who also seems missing in action in talking to the American people.

So who is actually running or responsible for anything on this clown car of an administration? Indeed what can they say at this point, there’s no excuse for all this. Secretary of State Antony Blinken tried to spin it and claim that this was a “success,” that we’d achieved our goals and that they made it so there would be no more terror attacks on us from terrorists in Afghanistan. That of course is just delusional. They just turned over the country to the terrorists and it’s now a radical Islamic state. Everything that we were fighting against for years in Afghanistan has now happened under Biden.
