Chris Wallace Dumps All Over Jake Tapper's Empty 'Posturing'

Today was the day that Jake Tapper decided to completely flush any remaining credibility he had straight down the toilet, when he got busted in a huge lie.

He’s been fond of saying that he wouldn’t book on his show the people he claims spread the “Big Lie” about the election since Jan. 6. Politico claimed that included Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY). They fail to say what it is, specifically, she supposedly lied about.

But as we reported earlier, then Elise Stefanik brought the receipts and dropped them all over Jake Tapper, showing he was lying and his show had invited her to be on as recently as last month, likely in regard to the ousting of Rep. Liz Cheney. She even mocked him over CNN’s falling ratings.

As we noted, Tapper responded by trying to throw his staff under the bus, despite his senior planning producer sending at least one of the emails.

Of course, his senior planning producer was practically begging Stefanik to come on so this doesn’t pass the smell test. Plus the reason Stefanik responded was because Politico specifically named her in the piece as an example of someone he wouldn’t book.

Tapper was completely cooked by Stefanik.

But let’s look at how Chris Wallace busted Jake Tapper’s greater point, his empty posturing about not booking people in the original Politico article.

“I don’t think moral posturing goes well with news gathering,” Wallace told us in a statement, adding: “There are plenty of people I would like to have on Fox News Sunday that voted to challenge the election — House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy for one. And I don’t have any rule about what the first question has to be. I have asked plenty of guests about voting to challenge the election and about Trump’s role in the January 6th insurrection. But I cover the news, wherever that takes me.”

Now, I don’t agree with Wallace on much, but I do agree with him on this greater point he’s making. Tapper’s position is completely inconsistent with newsgathering. But of course, they’re not really interested in newsgathering, they’re interested in pushing an agenda, just like Democratic operatives. What it’s about is pushing the narrative to demonize people on the right. And it’s not “moral posturing,” it’s immoral posturing, as we can see from this lie.

News organizations don’t use Democratic Party propaganda terms like “Big Lie” (with its connection to Adolf Hitler, a disgusting allusion). That very response betrays Tapper and CNN, that they would use that term. And as my colleague Sister Toldjah observed earlier, CNN has shown they have no problem with putting liars of the Democratic persuasion all over their airwaves, pushing Russia collusion nonsense for the past four years attacking the duly-elected president of the United States, even putting Stacey Abrams on to attack the election she lost. So, no, Jake, don’t you even try to go there or talk about who’s been damaging our “democracy” (read: Republic) for the past four years. You wouldn’t like the answer I give you.
