Biden Gets Bashed Big Time for Not Living in Reality When It Comes to the Virus and July 4

Joe Biden truly does live in an alternate reality, divorced from common sense and science.

On Wednesday, he announced that he wasn’t comfortable telling people that they could get together on July 4 for small gatherings, yet. He had spoken about that being the goal during his March 25 press conference. According to the NY Post, he “warned Americans they may have to cancel ‘small’ outdoor gatherings on the Fourth of July if there’s a slowdown of COVID-19 vaccinations.”

He warned: “To celebrate our independence from this virus on July 4th with family and friends in small groups, we still have more to do in the months of May and June. We all need to mask up until the number of cases goes down, until everyone has a chance to get their shot.”

According to the Daily Mail, Biden claimed the issue was “the broad swath of American adults still remain largely unvaccinated,” despite the fact that 52 percent of adult Americans have received at least one dose already, according to the CDC. “If we let up now and stop being vigilant,” he said, “we’re never going to get back to celebrate our independence from this virus on July 4 with family and friends in small groups.”

Biden doesn’t seem to understand that yes, Americans are already getting together with family and friends for “small gatherings” outdoors, and that we can act responsibly for ourselves without him telling us what to do.

Biden seems to think that Americans are hanging on his words for when or how to act, as though acting on the word of the king.

Sorry to disabuse you of that, Joe, Americans aren’t waiting to get together with their family depending on whether you say so. Especially when you aren’t living in reality and don’t seem to be accepting the science.

Last year, former assistant secretary of health,  Admiral Brett Giroir, dropped a little truth on Biden: “[B]y July, we should be almost back to normal with herd immunity, with everybody getting vaccines.”

From NY Post:

“I don’t know what reality he’s talking about,” Giroir said. “It seemed very disconnected from the reality and where we are and what the science says. Science says small gatherings outdoors is fine.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said Biden was “far out of step” with what was already going on across the country.

“It was advice for an alternate universe. The president and his advisers may need to get out more,” McConnell said. “”Americans are already getting together in small groups outdoors in blue states and red states, in small towns and big cities. The country is not locked down waiting for July 4.”

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) has figured out the answer to getting Biden to “approve” July 4th celebrations.
