BLM activists frequently call out Breonna Taylor’s name during protests and some carry pictures of her.

Taylor was killed during a police shooting, when there was a police raid at her home last year in Louisville, Kentucky. Police say they announced who they were and knocked. They then entered the apartment. Taylor’s boyfriend shot at them, saying he believed them to be home invaders. Police returned fire, killing Taylor, who was standing near her boyfriend.

Taylor’s mother Tamika Palmer blasted BLM this week on Facebook, calling the group a “fraud.”

While Palmer praised friends, family, and other community members for their support after her daughter’s death, she had nothing but contempt for BLM.

Palmer ripped the BLM Lousiville chapter specifically. She also called a Kentucky state representative, Attica Scott, a “fraud.” Scott had argued against “no knock” warrants.

According to Louisville’s WAVE3 TV, Palmer said, “I have never personally dealt with BLM Louisville and personally have found them to be fraud, Attica Scott another fraud.” She also called out some for claiming they were “[raising] money on behalf of Breonna’s family,” but that they’ve “never done a damn thing for us when we needed it or asked.” “I’m so sick of some of y’all and I was last anybody who needs it. Enough is enough!!,” she finished.

The BLM has certainly been getting a lot of coverage over the past week and a half. Is it possible to hope that folks are finally getting what they’re about?

As we previously reported, one of the founders of the BLM, Patrisse Cullors, has come under fire for what some called a “real estate binge” of acquiring four high-end homes worth a total of $3.2 million. Cullors responded to the criticism about whether this was in keeping with her social justice/Marxist beliefs, saying that she had to take care of her family, which really wasn’t much of an answer.

Grass roots activists connected to the BLM movement have been calling for accountability and transparency as to the finances, as well as pushing for more input for their opinions in decision making. Hawk Newsome who is part of BLM Greater New York, which is a group unaffiliated with the BLM Global Network Foundation, called for an “independent investigation.”

The mothers of Tamir Rice and Richard Risher have also called out the BLM for capitalizing on their children’s names and likenesses, as did the mother of a child who was killed in 2016 in Los Angeles, as RedState’s Jeff Charles wrote.
