The Commission on Presidential Debates is supposed to be a bipartisan organization of equal numbers of Republicans and Democrats. That’s supposed to help ensure a fair disposition of the debates.

But there have been a ton of questions given their actions in relation to the debates so far.

While they picked a Fox moderator for the first debate, they picked Chris Wallace, clearly not a fan of the president.

Then the person they picked for the second debate, Steve Scully, had actually worked as an intern for Biden and had taken his family to at least one Biden party. He then bizarrely tweeted at anti-Trump Anthony Scaramucci about whether he should respond to Trump (presumably asking him about during the debate). Then word came that he was claiming to the Commission that he had been hacked, a claim that is hard to believe. As it turns out the second debate is cancelled so he’s skipped over in any event. The CPD said they (not Scully) have reported it to Twitter and the FBI, who are investigating.

But once they cancelled the second debate, the Commission then announced the moderator they would have for the third debate, presently scheduled for October 22. There were immediate questions about that moderator as well. NBC’s Kristen Welker deactivated her account.

What does that mean? It means that she has so many things in her account that would be problematic she can’t delete them easily and she has to deactivate the whole account in the meantime.

But the internet is forever, as Townhall’s Beth Baumann showed, pulling up two questionable tweets from Welker.

But you know how bad it must be if she feels she has to hide the whole account. So once again, why isn’t that something that’s being considered by the Commission? Or maybe it is being considered and her bias is just fine with them? Because when all three people have issues, you just have to wonder what is going into their decision-making?

Former Kansas Sen. Bob Dole took to Twitter Friday to call out the Commission on Presidential Debates, saying it was rigged against President Trump — even though half its members are Republicans.

“The Commission on Presidential Debates is supposedly bipartisan w/ an equal number of Rs and Ds. I know all of the Republicans and most are friends of mine. I am concerned that none of them support @realDonaldTrump. A biased Debate Commission is unfair,” the 97-year-old ex-senator told his followers.

If even Bob Dole is calling it out, you know there’s an issue. They need to get their house in order.
