When I heard today what Michelle Obama is reported to have said about the Trump White House, it just made my head almost explode with the utter gall of it all.

There are few administrations who have been as awful as the Obama administration and did so many things for which they were never held to account.

But according to Michelle Obama, she said that as black Americans, she and former President Barack Obama “never could’ve gotten away with some of the stuff that’s going on now” in the White House because their “community wouldn’t have accepted that.”

From The Hill:

“When we were in the White House, we could’ve never gotten away with some of the stuff that’s going on now, not because of the public, but our community wouldn’t have accepted that. You worked, you did your best every day. You showed up,” Obama said.

I almost choked on that one.

Just exactly what would they not have been able to get away with? Because it sure seems to me that his administration got away with an awful lot. And what does any of it have to do with race?

Imagine if the Trump administration had spied on Congress and then had their CIA director lie about it to Congress and get caught lying? Imagine if the Trump administration had spied on reporters and been caught doing it? Imagine if the Trump administration IRS had been going after political opponents? Imagine if the Trump administration had federal agents surveilling a political opponent? Imagine if the Trump administration had four people Americans killed at a foreign mission, lied to the family of the dead Americans and blamed it on an internet video? Imagine if the Trump administration had drone killed a 16 year old American boy and said essentially well, he should have picked a better father, too bad?

The Obama administration did all of that and so much more. And they got away with all of it. At least so far. Part of the reason why is that no one was ever held accountable, folks like John Brennan simply got a pat on the head, even continuing on in their positions.

Michelle Obama also defended the Black Lives Matter people.

Obama said, “The fact that there are people out there that treat us less than, when we’re working so hard to be better than, that’s where the pain comes from. That’s what these young people are so angry about.”

“The notion that people are out there wondering about these protests,” Obama said, “it’s like, do you know how much it takes, that it takes to get up everyday, and be accused of being less than what you are?”

Who is accusing them of being less than what they are everyday? But how to completely spin what they really are, which has nothing to do with race and everything to do with ideology: radical leftists who want to bring down the present system. So even after all the violent riots, why is Michelle Obama defending this group? Democrats own all of it when they not only aren’t calling it out by name but are in fact excusing it.
