As we reported earlier here and here, two Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies were shot multiple times in an attempted assassination on Saturday night as they were sitting in their car near a train station. They were taken to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries.
BLM people then went to the hospital and tried to get into the emergency room, and they blocked the entrances to the hospital, making it difficult for emergency vehicles to get in and out.

Witnesses said and video showed the BLM people shouted things like they hoped the officers died and said to police officers at the hospital that “you’re next.”
But at one point during interaction, the LA Sheriff’s made an arrest of one of the BLM people who was there, saying that he refused to leave and stop blocking the emergency room entrance.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a woman also ran at them as they were trying to make the arrest.

From Daily Wire:
“After deputies issued a dispersal order for the unlawful assembly of a group of protesters blocking the hospital emergency entrance & exits, a male adult protester refused to comply & cooperate,” LA County Sheriffs tweeted, explaining why Huang was detained. “During his arrest, a struggle ensued at which time a female adult ran towards the deputies, ignored repeated commands to stay back as they struggled with the male and interfered with the arrest.”
“The female adult, who was later identified as a member of the press, did not identify herself as press and later admitted she did not have proper press credentials on her person. Both individuals have been arrested for 148 P.C.,” they noted.

The reporter was arrested for interfering with a police officer.
Turns out she was from NPR, Josie Huang. NPR, the same place where they ran the article about the book, “In Defense of Looting,” a book which justified the looting and rioting as “reparations.” NPR, a taxpayer subsidized entity.
It’s a common practice for BLM folks to rush up and de-arrest their comrades when police try to arrest them, so the police likely thought that’s what the reporter was trying to do and many of them fake being press. Unfortunately because of that, police can’t really know if someone is press and if someone is rushing at them during an arrest, they’re going to assume it’s hostile. Unfortunately also, just because it’s press doesn’t mean it isn’t hostile. Much of the press seems to have sided with the BLM and/or tried to justify their actions. Given what just happened with the assassination attempt, it’s not hard to understand why.
