My colleague Becca Lower wrote about Barack Obama’s DNC speech on Wednesday night and how everything with Obama is always about him. So true.

The utter audacity that Barack Obama has to attack President Donald Trump for supposedly violating norms when his administration spied on Congress, spied on reporters, sold guns to cartels and whose IRS went after political opponents. Not to mention the unprecedented effort against the Trump team. The utter audacity of someone who so broke norms to stand in front of a gallery focusing on the writing of the Constitution.

But I wanted to pick out one comment that he made that really takes the cake, although admittedly there were so many.

Wow. Obama using his speech to carry water for Antifa and other agitators that are burning down buildings, beating bystanders, and trying to murder cops.

“In this democracy, the commander in chief does not use the men and women of our military who are willing to risk everything to protect our nation, as political props to deploy against peaceful protesters on our own soil,” Obama preached.

This was such a lie, his tongue almost snapped off its roller when he said the words “peaceful protesters.”

Let us count the ways in which this is just 100 percent grade A horse hockey.

First, when did the president every deploy the military against peaceful protesters? This is just out and out false.

The governors called in the National Guard in some places at the height of the rioting. Obviously not deployed against “peaceful protesters” and not an uncommon practice as it has been used in the case of rioting in the past.

So what exactly is he talking about? Is he trying to promote the hoax about “unidentified troops” that the Democrats pushed last month? There were no military troops, there were Customs and Border Patrol law enforcement BORTAC team. That is not military. If that’s what he’s doing, Obama is attacking federal law enforcement agents who were defending the United States and the federal courthouse, who were under attack by violent radical leftists. Sure sounds like he’s defending Antifa over the United States. Talk about breaking norms.

But let’s talk about using military as “political props.” Funny that he should say that. Because guess who did use the military as “political props?” Joe Biden and the Democrats on Tuesday night.

As we reported, they used two members of the Army in this video from American Samoa during the roll call of states to nominate Biden. The clear message was to show military supporting Biden, a violation of the military’s rule against participation in political events.

So either Biden and the Democrats didn’t care about breaking the DoD rules or they didn’t care about hanging these military folks out to dry by doing this. What was that you were saying about political props?
