I don’t know if you’ve been watching the Democratic National Convention.
I don’t know about you, but this has got to be one of the most boring things that I’ve ever watched. It’s like packaged bland soap, it’s so uninteresting.
“Joe Biden will do this and Joe Biden will do that, Joe Biden will make everything equal for everyone,” we heard from a bunch of tired sounding politicians from Amy Klobuchar to John Kasich, Doug Jones, and Bernie Sanders.
Unlike everything he’s done for the last forty years he’s been in government. Can anyone even name one consequential thing he’s done? The answer is: he hasn’t done anything except reveal how much he’s been lacking.
Before the media had to really get behind him because he was their only shot, they used to have a more honest assessment of him when he was Obama’s Vice President. The gaffe ridden politician for decades, who had never gotten one foreign policy thing right in all his 40 years in politics.
Even Barack Obama didn’t want him to run, according to reports.
According to Politico in a recent report:
One Democrat who spoke to Obama recalled the former president warning, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to fuck things up.” Speaking of his own waning understanding of today’s Democratic electorate, especially in Iowa, Obama told one 2020 candidate: “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.”
But at this point, he’s all they have, and they are trying to sell old Joe with everything they have to try to grab back power.
On Monday night, during the virtual convention, they even broke out former First Lady, Michelle Obama, to pitch on his behalf.
While most of the other speakers had been boring, I will grant you she wasn’t boring. What she was was insufferable, not to mention deceitful, trying to pitch that she was “going high.” She’s very much like her husband. It sounds nice, but then when you start looking at it, you see all the issues.
She started off insulting the American voters who elected Donald Trump, implying that he only won because some people didn’t think their votes mattered. She then tried to diminish his win claiming he lost the national popular vote. There is no “national popular vote”. We operate under a Constitution where the people run and win or not based on the Electoral Vote. Only under the Democrats have we seen this constant undermining of the Constitutional process.
Obama then falsely accused Trump of downplaying the virus, while indeed the man and the party she supports were downplaying the virus until at least March. Biden didn’t even support cutting travel from China or Europe until April, months after Trump did it. While Trump was organizing the task force, declaring a public health emergency, and cutting travel, Biden and the Democrats were talking about how cutting such travel was “xenophobia” and doing things like encouraging people to go out into crowds and go on the subway.
Obama then got into the heart of her speech where she took off the gloves and just was flat out deceitful. She claimed that the proposition that “black lives matter” was met with “derision” from the highest office in the land. That’s simply false, as Trump explicitly said he supported that, just not the radical political group that the Democrats have embraced and which has been behind such chaos, such as endorsing looting in Chicago and marching on the homes of people in the middle of the night, not to mention a ton of violence and attacking police.
Michelle Obama: "Right now, kids in this country are seeing what happens when we stop requiring empathy of one another. They're looking around wondering if we've been lying to them this whole time about who we are and what we truly value." https://t.co/rZszrWoObu #DemConvention pic.twitter.com/1GSwZ0zUPj

When she spoke about the importance of empathy, I thought of the New Jersey business owner Donna Van Zant, who Barack Obama hugged in a famous photo op after Hurricane Sandy and promised to help. And then never communicated with or helped again. As opposed to Trump who, in similar situations, has helped countless people long before he even became president but after as well and has reached out to many since he became president, seeming to have made a special effort to reach out to parents who have had to suffer the loss of their children From the parents of kids who died because of illegal aliens to the father of Lorenzo Anderson who was killed in the Seattle autonomous Zone, he’s reached out to offer comfort.
Obama suggested that Trump had been “emboldening white supremacists,” a complete lie when he’s repeatedly and utterly condemned them but once again going low while she claimed she was “going high.”
Perhaps one of the most astonishing lies was when she spoke against “children in cages.”
Nobody tell @MichelleObama who built those cages pic.twitter.com/IepTNsApUB

Wait, what? Her husband helped to build the “cages” during his administration. They weren’t really cages but large fenced temporary holding areas where for the first day or two people were kept. He literally not only maintained the “cages” but even turned kids over to human traffickers because he didn’t adequately check who the kids were being released to, a practice which Trump helped to stop by being more sure that the person picking up kids being turned over was actually related to the child.
She also lied about “peaceful protesters,” completely glossing over the violence of the BLM.
Obama also stoked division and fear, suggesting kids couldn’t walk out the door without worrying about being shot.
She almost didn’t even get to Joe Biden until the end of her remarks, claiming he listens and tells the truth. Well that will come as a surprise to the variety of voters he’s attacked for daring to question him — from the woman he called the “dog-faced pony soldier,” the voter he called fat and old, to the man he screamed at and said was “full of sh**” and threatened to take outside. Then there was Charlamagne tha God to whom he said “you ain’t black” if you didn’t vote for him and then made it worse saying it was Charlamagne’s fault that he said it. As to telling the truth, he had to drop out of his first run for president 32 years ago for lying and plagiarizing and lied this week about Trump, telling the “fine people” lie again.
I could probably go on and on with her insufferable whoppers. But you get the idea.
You want to promote your guy, promote your guy. Don’t just tell lies about the opponent. You know what was missing completely in anything she said about Biden? Any achievements. In forty years in Washington, what has he achieved? She couldn’t say.
The silence speaks volumes and says everything you need to know.
