Acosta says President Donald Trump’s attacks on the media must stop or there’s a risk someone will get hurt. He is one of the most visible members of the press corps covering Trump and a target for verbal abuse at the president’s rallies. He said Monday that Trump has, “normalized and sanitized nastiness and cruelty” in an unprecedented way. (AP Photo/Evan Vucci, File)

CNN’s Jim Acosta is all about his own self-promotion, attacking President Donald Trump to play to the leftist base for attention.

Acosta has long since lost any semblance of being an objective or honest, as has his employer, CNN.

But on Saturday, he added to the prior dishonesty, with this deceptive tweet about Charlottesville.

“Three years ago today… Trump says there were “very fine people on both sides” in Charlottesville.”

Three years ago, he told the same lie.

Of course, what he leaves out was Trump’s condemnation of Neo-Nazis in the the same remarks, within seconds of saying “fine people.” “I’m not talking about neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally,” Trump said. You can even hear it in the video that Acosta linked. But unless you click through the video and only read his comment, you are once against led to believe the lie.

Trump’s point was that there were multiple groups: neo-Nazi; the folks that didn’t support destroying history/mobs ripping down statues without rule of law; people that thought mobs could just rip down the statue; and Antifa. The bad people were the first and fourth group, the fine people with difference of opinion the second and third groups in the middle. People who decried him saying “both sides” completely missed the police chief talking about the violence from Antifa that Trump likely had heard as well.

Acosta’s own colleague, Jake Tapper had to point out what that this whole fine people story was false, but despite that, Acosta is still promoting it.

People flailed Acosta for promoting the lie, yet again.

They just can’t stop pushing it.

Trump’s other points in those remarks were also prescient. That the statue mob would then come for George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, as in fact they did, with the latest action this week when a radical leftist group pulling down a statue of George Washington in Los Angeles.
