As we previously reported, the wall that had protected Bill Clinton got a huge dent shoved into it when documents emerged recently from a witness who had been on Jeffrey Epstein’s island.
Clinton has denied ever being on the island.
But the documents showed that Virginia Giuffre claims that she saw Bill Clinton in the company of Ghislaine Maxwell, another woman and two young girls. That’s extraordinarily problematic given the allegations against Maxwell involving the procuring of young girls for Epstein and his powerful friends.

But when one of his minions, now a CNN commentator (aren’t they always) Paul Begala, went on “Real Time” with Bill Maher, he found himself having to defend his boss from the questions about the Epstein connection.
From Fox News:
“Now, Bill Clinton. People are saying that there are witnesses who saw him on Jeffrey Epstein’s sex island,” Maher began. “Obviously, it’s denied.”
Begala, who served as a White House adviser during Clinton’s administration, shook his head in disapproval — but Maher doubled down.
“You shake your head like, ‘Oh that’s impossible! Bill Clinton, a horny guy, on sex island? Ridiculous!'” Maher mocked. “Look, it’s possible.”
Is Bill busted and there's no one who can bleach the evidence this time?

Ghislaine Maxwell (kinda) admits in a 2016 deposition that President Bill Clinton flew on Epstein's plane.

You can see Clinton on the plane with Maxwell here.
Clinton has acknowledged knowing Epstein and being to his home in New York. He also said he had taken “4 trips” on his plane which some have nicknamed the “Lolita Express” after the information on Epstein came out – two to Africa, one to Europe and one to Asia in 2002 and 2003. The flight logs reportedly show Clinton on 26 flights between 2001 and 2003. One explanation for the seeming “contradiction” is that there are multiple “flights” in a trip to Africa which involves more than one stop. But 4 trips makes it sound like fewer than 26 flights.
But Maher kept after Begala, showing that even for liberals like Maher, the concern is no longer about protecting the Clintons, but rather about not having their predilections cause the Democrats to be thrown under the bus by the electorate.
During a panel segment of Maher’s show Friday night, the host revived his argument that the Clintons have become “huge distractions” for the Democratic Party and invoked the controversial connection between the former president and the pedophile.
“My question is, you know, [Clinton] has assets and he has … things that are not quite assets,” Maher said. “And same with Hillary. What do the Democrats — what should they do?”
That’s one way of putting it.
Begala, as a former Clintonista, tried to do his best to spin for Bill and Hill, trying to justify his involvement in the campaign against President Donald Trump.
“Bill Clinton has credibility on the economy, which is the one issue holding Trump up right now. It is still holding him up,” Begala told Maher. “I guess people saw him portray a CEO on a cardboard set for 14 years on NBC because they feel like he’s a businessman. … Bill Clinton can puncture that. And if it were me, that’s what I would send him out to do.”
But Maher argued that Clinton was a hindrance if he were at the Democratic convention. Imagine if their candidate is Biden who has no credibility on the economy, but you’re trying to throw Bill Clinton out there as some sort of salve for the deficiencies of Biden. It’s like throwing a knife to someone who is already bleeding out on the ground.
