As we reported earlier, in a very disturbing move, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, who displayed guns on their property to defend themselves from a huge group of BLM protesters, had a warrant served on them and had the AR-15 Mark McCloskey displayed in that incident seized.
It’s not yet clear why the weapon was seized and there have been no charges lodged against the couple.
People who care about the Constitution were very troubled by the action against the McCloskeys.
As attorney Harmeet K. Dhillon explained, “Missouri is a Castle Doctrine state, permitted among the broadest latitudes of any state in using even deadly force to protect yourself or your property. This couple used NO force, despite the imminent threat from a trespassing mob. The seizure of weapons is government overreach.”
The protesters not only broke a gate in the incident, they went on the private street and were also on the lawn of the couple. According to Mark McCloskey, they also threatened the couple.
Because the couple dared to defend themselves, about 300 protesters then came back on Friday, screaming and harassing the couple again. This time, the McCloskeys had private security backing them up on their balcony.

You would think that the prosecutor would go after the “protesters” not the couple defending their property.
But the Circuit Attorney is Kim Gardner seems to think the fault is with the couple. In the wake of the first incident, Gardner claimed that the couple defending their property was a “violent assault.”
Gardener received funding in her run for the job from George Soros. Soros has helped back people for district attorney/prosecutor positions across the country to help transform the criminal justice system. Is this the criminal justice reform we can expect to see? Going after people who exercise their Constitutional rights?
The media has also been attacking the couple for daring to exercising their Second Amendment rights, claiming they have a long history of filling lawsuits against people. Gee, ya think? They’re lawyers.
But this isn’t about them or whether the McCloskeys are sweet people, it’s about their basic right and the basic right of every person to defend themselves and their property.
It’s not clear whether or not the McCloskeys still have any arms to defend themselves, there were reports the pistol Mrs. McCloskey had is with their attorney.
But in a Facebook post, a local gun store, Alien Armory Tactical, put its money where its mouth is and offered the couple a free new AR-15 if they wanted it. The store scolded the police for going along with the warrant.
