People are letting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have it on social media over the decision by Democrats to block a clean bill to refund the Paycheck Protection Program, the program that had been helping save small businesses and maintain millions of American jobs.

It just ran out of money on Wednesday.

Pelosi bragged about the Democrats blocking it.

She also went on James Corden’s “The Late Late Show” and flaunted her expensive double refrigerators, with a freezer packed full of $12/pint designer ice cream. She also talked about the wonderful opportunity that her grandkids from New York had during the pandemic at a time when many have to not visit their elderly family members and New York has a stay at home order.

Those remarks infuriated people who were trying to figure out how to keep their businesses afloat and feed their families. What made it even worse was that the members left town and, according to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, wouldn’t be back in session until May 4, “absent an emergency.”

The Democratic Congressional Committee communications director made it even worse by attacking the people who were upset, calling them Republican operatives, falsely representing what the President said and suggesting the only “question” she had was what ice cream flavor to choose from as she “saves” the country.

Finally, someone nailed Pelosi with the question: Why the heck are you holding this up? What could possibly be your objection to a clean bill to just refund a program to help Americans, the details of which program were already passed in the virus relief bill?

Her answer was just awful.

Translation? She’s trying to see how much she can hold up the Republicans for on the Democratic agenda package while using suffering Americans as a leverage chip, knowing that most media will never hold Democrats responsible for such despicable behavior.

That was just confirmed when word came that she was talking with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, but was looking for a “good offer.”

In other words, she’s still holding out for pork and her pet programs.
