President Donald Trump wished Americans a Happy Easter earlier in the day.

He also encouraged people in the fight against the Wuhan coronavirus.

But tonight, he was also calling out a lot of fake news over the virus that had been propagating today.

First, he addressed the CNN interview that he should have acted sooner and that might have saved lives.

Exactly. In late February, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Mayor Bill de Blasio were encouraging people to go to parades in Chinatown for Chinese New Year. De Blasio was encouraging people to ride the subways and continue their regular events well into March. He didn’t even shut down the schools until March 15.

Trump activated the CDC, formed the task force, declared a public health emergency, and cut travel to China, all in January, while Democrats were still focused on impeachment and calling what he was doing racist and xenophobic.

Democrats and media want to change the game now, blame Trump, while they themselves were actually doing less than he was to address and deal with the virus.

Trump also called out the nurse who spread fake news about being denied a mask. CBS amplified her claims which went viral, apparently without doing any checking to find out if it was true.

Trump has been trying to get around the media spin by having the daily briefings to get information out there to people. But he’s still had to deal with media’s response which seems, even in the middle of a pandemic, about trying to score points and attack the President.

There’s everything from posturing by folks like Jim Acosta to Yamiche Alcindor trying to suggest that there’s something racist in Surgeon General Jerome Adams’ comments. Not to mention CNN’s response has been to cut out of the briefings and attack Trump throughout the whole pandemic.

At a time when historically, the country generally would be pulling together, media once again seems set with being divisive, all in the effort of the narrative against Trump. But Trump wasn’t having any of it.
