FILE – In this Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 file photo, President-elect Donald Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, center, accompanied by her husband, George, speaks with members of the media as they arrive for a dinner at Union Station in Washington, the day before Trump’s inauguration. Trump has chosen George Conway to head the civil division of the Justice Department. The Wall Street Journal reports that he was chosen to head the office that has responsibility for defending the administration’s proposed travel ban and defending lawsuits filed against the administration. The White House and the Justice Department would not confirm the pick Saturday, March 18, 2017. George Conway declined to comment. (AP Photo/Matt Rourke)
I imagine it must be something to try to assess the psychology of Never Trump lawyer and virulently anti-Trump guy, George Conway.
Maybe it’s challenging to have his wife, Kellyanne Conway, have the better-known name and have the attention.
But normally, if your wife is working for someone, you go out of your way to be supportive of her and her position.
Even if you didn’t like her boss, you probably wouldn’t publicly attack him because even if you didn’t like him you might be able to perceive that might not be helpful for your wife.
If you didn’t agree with her, if you were a respectful husband, you would allow her her own opinion, albeit different from yours.
Not so much George Conway, he’s is pretty much obsessed with non-stop attacks on the president, despite his wife working for him.
He was at it again on Friday night, criticizing Trump for telling NBC’s Peter Alexander he was a “terrible reporter.” Trump had just given a briefing on everything that was being done to fight the virus but Alexander asked if he was misleading the public by giving them too much hope. “Is your impulse to put a positive spin on things maybe giving Americans a false sense of hope and misrepresenting your preparedness right now,” then throwing in a couple of other biased spins in a loaded question.
Conway attacked Trump’s response, “Man, why didn’t FDR think of that instead of saying whatever it was he said about fear.”

You mean the guy who demonstrated what we really had to fear the power of the government which under him actually locked up Japanese and German Americans in camps and went on to demonstrate how an overgrown government can meddle in every aspect of daily life? The guy who toyed with socialism prior to Bernie Sanders and AOC? That guy?
Conway still claims to be a conservative.
Yet here he is, seemingly giving the nod to the antithesis of conservatism, FDR, because of his Trump hate. That’s what being broken really looks like.
How is one “preserving conservatism” when one does things like that?
