The Wuhan virus is having some odd effects, resulting in some interesting ironies.

One we reported on earlier was that Mexico was reportedly considering shutting its border to help prevent the spread of the virus from the United States, which currently has more cases, to Mexico.

If they closed the border that of course would cut the illegal alien traffic going the other way, into the United States. Will Democrats be calling Mexico’s remarks racist?

Another ironic reaction was that from ISIS.

One of their main goals is, of course, trying to commit terrorism in places like Europe.

But according to reports, they’ve put that thought on hold for a bit to avoid their guys catching the virus in Europe. They’re encouraging members who aren’t already in Europe not to go.

This is according to a sharia directive in the group’s al Naba newsletter, according to the NY Post.

The “healthy should not enter the land of the epidemic and the afflicted should not exit from it,” the newsletter advised.

The newsletter instructs jihadists that the “plague” is a “torment sent by God on whomsoever He wills.”

Most remaining members of ISIS are thought to be in Iraq where they have cases to, with 110 reported as of Sunday, with 10 deaths.
