Hillary Clinton really has some gall.

Back when her email server scandal blew up back in 2015, when people thought we still held people accountable for violating the regulations and laws, Clinton apologized for having the private server.

“As I look back at it now, even though it was allowed, I should have used two accounts. That was a mistake. I’m sorry about that. I take responsibility,” Clinton said in September 2015.

But now, she’s taking that back in her Hulu documentary, saying not only wasn’t it wrong that she had a private server but that she should never have apologized for it being wrong because she really didn’t believe that, she just did it to help her campaign because her campaign folks told her to.

“We’ll just say what you did was a mistake. It was dumb. It’s over. And that will end it,” Clinton said in the Hulu documentary released Friday, Hillary, about her life. “I didn’t not believe that. I wasn’t convinced of that. But I understood the frustration of my campaign.”

“So against my better judgment, I said, ‘OK, fine,'” she said about giving a series of interviews which led to an apology on ABC News. [….]

“It turned out to be a mistake because look at all the oxygen it was sucking out of my campaign. But it didn’t end it,” the former secretary of state said in the Hulu documentary about the criticism she received over her emails. “It didn’t end it at all. And it never ended, it never ended.”

In other words, she lied about being sorry because I thought it would make it all go away, but it didn’t, how dare people still hold her accountable for my actions to dissemble and deceive!

Of course there was a rule about sending and receiving classified email on a private server, or even using a private server for her government work.

As former FBI Director James Comey noted in July 2016, not only was there a rule, but he even suggested had it been someone else, they may have been charged. “To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences,” he said at the time.

Present Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called her out on Friday, according to the Free Beacon, and responded to her claim that she was the most “most investigated innocent person in America.”

“No, having a private email server and keeping your government records on that is completely unlawful,” Pompeo said during an interview on Fox & Friends.

“She has been investigated a lot, I think there might be a reason for that,” Pompeo added. “We have an obligation, as senior leaders in the United States government, that our records are protected and available through [the Freedom of Information Act] and all the other mechanisms.”

“It’s a bad idea,” Pompeo said regarding the destruction of records. “Not a model that I recommend to any leader anywhere.”

Clinton claimed that “everybody knew I was doing it because they were all emailing me and I was emailing them.” That people knew about it isn’t an excuse, it actually says more about them, it doesn’t make her innocent.

She’s really the worst, most clueless politician on the face of the earth and she wonders why she lost.
