Somewhere along in what already seems the interminable Democratic election season, Democrats said they wanted not to attack each other because they wanted whoever the final victor was to go in strong against President Donald Trump and not be injured from a bruising campaign season.
They seem to have been tossing that out the window of late, however.
Hillary Clinton, the 2016 presidential candidate who’s still trying to figure out “what happened” and blaming everyone but herself for her loss, took a hoe to one of the leading candidates, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in a pretty vicious attack, saying among other things that nobody liked him and he hadn’t achieved anything. “Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.” She also attacked his contingent saying he and his supporters had a problem with women.
This, despite the fact that Sanders came out to support her against Trump in 2016 even after the DNC and Clinton had rigged the game against him. He was able to put aside their tricks, but Clinton was never able to put aside his popularity.
Bernie folks were not happy at her attack, particularly as he was gaining some steam, by some reports leading as we go into the first primaries.
While Sanders has been stuck in Washington, D.C. on impeachment, he’s had surrogates out and about, including Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). They were at an event in Iowa when Tlaib let loose as a moderator mentioned Clinton’s comments.

From Fox News:
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., couldn’t resist the urge to boo former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when her name came up during a Sen. Bernie Sanders event in Iowa on Friday evening, three days before the Iowa caucuses.
Moderator Dionna Langford mentioned that Clinton was quoted in an interview saying “nobody likes” Sanders, The Hill reported.
“We’re not gonna boo, we’re not gonna boo. We’re classy here,” Langford said as the crowd erupted.
“No, I’ll boo. Boo!” Tlaib, who was seated onstage next to laughing Reps. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., interrupted. “You all know, I can’t be quiet. No, we’re going to boo. That’s all right. The haters will shut up on Monday when we win.”
Proving once again, yes, she, Tlaib isn’t classy, she of “impeach the motherf**ker” infamy.
That upset some and caused a firefight on social media.
You display contempt for those who did the work so you can be where you are today. Classless & disappointing @RashidaTlaib Unnecessary hit

Take note…..these are all women of color booing and ridiculing the woman who got more votes for president than any white man who has ever been president
They won their races because of the rage at her election “defeat”
Without Hillary Clinton they may not even be in Congress

Is there anyone primarying @RashidaTlaib ? Because I’m ready to give them all my money. This is disgusting, disturbing and Trumpian on many levels. This deplorable behavior has no place in the Dem Party.

This makes me sad. And frankly the audience response painfully remind me of the “Lock Her Up” chants at the Dem Convention in 2016.

Maybe Hillary should stop publicly criticizing one of the Dem front runners in the interest of party unity just an idea

So you’re saying she deserves it.
— Neera Tanden (@neeratanden) February 1, 2020
Yes, Hillary deserves it and so much more. Gotta love the circular firing at each other!
