On Tuesday, two ads were good windows into the Republican vs. Democratic choice.
We reported earlier on the terrific National Republican Senatorial Committee video showing how the Democrats have been trying to impeach President Donald Trump pretty much since he was elected, that it has nothing to do with the Constitution or anything Trump did, and everything to do with getting back power. It was simple, clear and made its point in a powerful way.

On the other hand the Biden campaign put out an effort to finally take on the issue of Hunter Biden and campaign. It was long on talk, short on facts and more than late effort.
Take a seat, grab yourself a drink, and listen to our campaign’s Rapid Response Director @AndrewBatesNC explain what really happened in Ukraine. #TeamJoe pic.twitter.com/y82fcTGNvK

First it starts with introducing Andrew Bates, Joe Biden’s rapid response director (and we care about him, why?) in a bar with a beer (huh?). We learn that Biden was appointed to be in charge of Obama’s foreign policy in regard to Ukraine, according to this. Really? Is that why it was such an abject failure? Is that why they denied the aid that the Ukrainians desperately needed when they were invaded in 2014? Is that why they largely did nothing to hold up the U.S. end of the Budapest Agreement? You really want to claim that? Ukraine didn’t get the lethal aid they needed to defend themselves until Trump came in.
Then Bates tries to spin the firing of the prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, as a positive alleging Shokin was corrupt. Why? Because Biden admitted on video that he held aid to Ukraine up until Shokin was fired. And it’s hard to get around that video.
FLASHBACK to 2018 when Joe Biden bragged about bribing Ukraine with $1 BILLION to fire the prosecutor who was investigating his son, Hunter Biden's company.

From Daily Caller:
The video quoted Daria Kaleniuk, an activist with the Anti-Corruption Action Centre, criticizing Shokin as maintaining a “Soviet system of prosecution which intimidates people.”
But the Biden campaign appears to have overlooked another target of Kaleniuk’s scrutiny.
“I think Hunter Biden did a very bad thing and he was very wrong. He allowed his name to be abused,” she told ABC News in an interview that aired June 20, 2019.

Whoops.
Bates claims that the investigation into Burisma had gone dormant and any issues were long before Hunter Biden was on the board. That’s simply false as the facts show. Hunter Biden joined the board in April 2014. Shokin’s office had actually raided the home of the founder/head of Burisma in February 2016, as the Kyiv Post reported at the time. Then suddenly in March 2016, Shokin was fired. The curious timing was one of the reasons that Sen. Lindsay Graham inquired of the State Department for any information on calls Joe Biden might have made to then president Petro Poroshenko to find out what was going on. That obviously stalled any investigation by Shokin at the time.
They cite Kurt Volker as disbelieving “conspiracy theories” about the Bidens and Ukraine. So if they want to cite Volker why don’t they cite this part of his testimony that blows away the whole impeachment scam by the Democrats?
From The Hill:
Volker also said that he did not know of “any linkage” between a hold on security assistance to Ukraine and investigations sought by Giuliani “at the time” he was connecting Trump’s attorney with Andriy Yermak, a top aide to Zelensky.
“No one had ever said that to me — and I never conveyed such a linkage to the Ukrainians,” Volker said.
Why doesn’t Bates cite State Department official George Kent who had concerns about Hunter Biden actions as a conflict of interest and brought those concerns to Biden’s staff?
Bates then falsely claims the whistleblower’s claims have been “corroborated” by Trump’s own officials, none of whom confirmed a quid pro quo from Trump. The video then deceitfully pulls out the phrase “do us a favor” which doesn’t refer to Biden at all, but to asking Ukraine to look into 2016 questions of what happened to the server and the “us” referred to was the United States, not Trump personally.
They also quote Trump saying he thinks the “Biden’s” should be investigated. Most Americans probably do, so? Plus, big grammar fail there.
So if there’s no problem why not testify then? Why is Joe Biden so anxious not to testify? Why is Hunter Biden putting off testimony in his baby mama’s lawsuit?
Notice what they failed to explain in all that is why did Hunter Biden get the job in the first place given his reported lack of experience and past history with drugs?
The Biden ad incited a lot of response from people mocking and trolling the effort.
.@AndrewBatesNC: "The investigation into Burisma had to do with things that happened years before Hunter Biden had any kind of relationship with that company."
So you acknowledge Burisma was corrupt.
So it was still ok for the son of the VP to join the board?
Good to know.
