Sen. Lindsey Graham, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, warned Iran on Friday night that if they tried to retaliate against America for the killing of IRGC terrorist leader Qasem Soleimani, we would hit what they can’t afford to lose.

He warned that their oil refineries would be a likely target, the last gasp they have, that if they were blown away, their economy, which is already on life support, would go under.

He warned:

“And, if I were the president, I would put on the table targets in Iran — not Iraq and Syria. Economic targets that crush the economy.”

Graham said that while the United States’ maximum pressure campaign against the Iranian regime has worked, what would “take it to the next level” would be to threaten to “destroy the ability of the Iranians to refine oil and sell it.”

“The president has to convince the ayatollah that if he retaliates, our response will be greater than the market will bear,” he concluded.

Sounds like he and President Donald Trump are right in line with each other.

Because Trump just gave just such a warning to Iran.

He’s letting them know exactly what Graham said. These aren’t going to be just targets in Iraq or hitting militias, these are going to be targets that they are going to miss.

He also symbolically reminds everyone of how long Iran has been at war with us, even if we haven’t been at war with them. They’ve been chanting for our death since 1979, when they seized our embassy and American hostages and held them for 444 days while Jimmy Carter did nothing. They didn’t get out until they knew Ronald Reagan was coming in. They’ve been responsible for thousands of American deaths since then through terrorism and war, with Soleimani being behind a good many of them.

Unfortunately because of the lack of action of the Obama administration, they thought they could get away with anything, because they did. Now Trump is teaching them a new lesson and they had better take the hint.
