You may remember the story of Tiffany Harris, the woman who allegedly committed one of the at least nine anti-Semitic assaults in New York City during Hanukkah.

Harris allegedly hit three Orthodox Jewish women in the face on the street in Brooklyn, yelling ‘F–k you, Jews!” as she attacked them.

She was arrested but then released without bail on Saturday because of the new bail law that wouldn’t permit the judge to hold her with a bail. This was a despite admitting to the crime according to the police and having an open charge against her from November of harassment and assault.

Here’s Ed Henry saying she had even more incidents and Mayor Bill de Blasio defending her being let out, claiming she’d be let out anyway.

On Sunday, she was arrested again after she slugged another woman in the face in front of her two children, according to the New York Post.

She was charged with assault, menacing and endangering the welfare of a child.

But on Monday, she walked free again, in spite of everything. Again, because of the nature of the bail law, there wasn’t much the judge or the prosecutor could do.

The prosecutor did ask for supervised release. “We’re here two days after the defendant was here on another charge,” he argued in Brooklyn criminal court. “We believe that the highest level of supervised release is appropriate.”

The judge agreed, knowing that it was the best she could do under the circumstances.

Can we predict that we’ll likely be hearing about another assault soon? Unfortunately, it sounds quite likely.

The New York bail law isn’t supposed to formally go into effect until Jan. 1, but judges have been applying it before hand because people will just be let out anyway once the New Year hits.

New York has also been releasing about 900 people who were being held on bail who wouldn’t be under the new law.

President Donald Trump called it out in November and police and prosecutors have also been in an uproar over it.

Not only are they being let out, but Mayor Bill de Blasio is gifting them with subway cards, debit cards, even Mets tickets as incentives to show up for court. Way to reward criminal suspects!

De Blasio has said that he is going to dedicate more police patrols to cover the orthodox Jewish neighborhoods in Brooklyn. We’ll have to see, since he’s failed to do anything effective to address the anti-Semitic assaults that have happened with great frequency even before the most recent Hanukkah spree.
