CNN seems to be on a desperate roll to see how many bad/false stories they can spread this week.
Between the false claims that Mayor Zohran Mamdani was the target of the NYC bomb attack and the false coverage of the military action in Iran and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, it's been bad.
They had their Democrat pundit, Paul Begala, assert that Hegseth kept for himself $6.9 million in lobster for a month.
The latest Trump Admin "scandal" lasted about 60 seconds. The receipts come directly from America's military heroes 🇺🇸

The lobster and steak were going to the troops. Why was the media working so hard to attack the Secretary of War in the middle of the action against Iran?
However, as we reported, CNN wasn't quite done yet with the incredible stories. They ran a story claiming that the Trump administration "acknowledged to lawmakers during recent classified briefings that they did not plan for the possibility of Iran closing the strait [Strait of Hormuz] in response to strikes, according to three sources familiar with the closed-door session."

That's not believable on its face.
But if you need an authoritative voice to thoroughly gut the claim, you got one in Senate Intelligence Committee Chair, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR).
As Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, let me make clear: whoever leaked this lied.

CNN should do some fact-checking.
The U.S. has planned for Iran to try to close the strait for decades. pic.twitter.com/hSeMi13svh

He certainly would know, as the Chair of the Intel Committee.
Not only was the story ridiculous — and CNN should be ashamed that they ran with it — but CNN is claiming that sources leaked this out of the classified briefings. That's a big problem. Not just that the sources may have lied, but that they're leaking. And there are a limited number of folks in the briefings who might do this. You have to figure it's Democrats. It's disgraceful that they would put their Trump hate or their disagreement over the best interests of the country in the middle of a military action with Iran. How can they be trusted if they do something like this? The Senate needs to investigate who was behind this.
In the meantime, it looks like CNN has updated/changed its reporting a bit. Here's what they have now.
Lawmakers pressed top Trump administration officials during a recent classified briefing about the lack of an operational plan to re-open the strait as the conflict continued, according to multiple sources familiar with the closed-door session. An administration official disputed that there were no plans, noting that the US military has long planned and trained to address a major disruption to the critical thoroughfare for global commerce.
Notice how people who leak things to the press tend to lie?

It's almost like they have an agenda and can not be held accountable. https://t.co/DJMGkTjvnI
Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
