If you thought that Democrats would be content to just go after President Donald Trump, you’d be mistaken.

Because even if they managed to somehow get Trump removed, they’d still be left with President Mike Pence.

But no worries, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is on the case, seemingly determined to somehow make House Speaker Nancy Pelosi president.

He appeared on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow, claiming he has “evidence” of more involvement by Pence in what Maddow called the Ukraine “scandal” and a possible “cover-up.”

LOL They’re talking about impeaching Pence now.

Yes, Dems, please PLEASE go down this never ending road.

“We have acquired a piece of evidence, a classified submission by Jennifer Williams [a State Department official who has served as a special advisor to Pence on European and Russian affairs], something she alluded to in her open testimony that, in going back and looking through her records, she found other information that was pertinent to that phone call that we asked her about, and made that submission,” Schiff claimed.

He claimed that there was no reason to keep the information classified. “There is nothing that should be classified in that submission but yet the vice president’s office has said they’re going to assert classification or that it’s classified. It is not proper to classify something because it would be embarrassing or incriminating, and that summation does shed light on the vice president’s knowledge, and we think the American people should see it. Certainly any senators in the trial should have access to it.”

He then went on to accuse Pence and Republicans of a cover-up.

“But it just goes to show that there is a body of evidence – documentary and otherwise – that administration figures from the president on down, to include the vice president, do not want the American people to see or know, and the question is will they succeed, will the cover-up succeed? Or will the Senate insist on what we were not able to obtain in the house and that is a White House that will comply with lawful process?”

Oh, please.

Here he goes again. As we saw with both the Mueller and Ukraine probes, Schiff told bold-faced lies, literally making things up, to impugn his political opponents.

He claimed that he had evidence that the Trump team had colluded with Russia, suggesting there was information that was classified that others wouldn’t know. Yet he never provided it and Special Counsel Robert Mueller debunked that conspiracy theory. Schiff was never held accountable for that.

Even the Washington Post was forced to call him out twice for his falsehoods over his Ukraine claims, giving him four Pinocchios for lying about his contacts with the whistleblower and three Pinocchios for lying about the whistleblower’s right to anonymity.

Notice how Schiff just says the information “sheds light on the Vice President’s knowledge?” For all we know it says “I knew nothing about anything” but he wants to suggest it’s something more.

Can they just stop pretending this isn’t all about power? They don’t even have the evidence they needed on Trump, much less Pence.

But Dems just keep digging that hole deeper with the American people.
