CNN just came out with a poll and it reveals why Democrats have been pushing impeachment so hard, even without facts and evidence to support their position.
It’s because they’re desperate to figure out a way to stop President Donald Trump from being re-elected.
As my colleague Bonchie reported, CNN’s latest poll is now showing that Trump is leading Democrats in battleground states after a substantial surge since October.
Incredibly close 2020 race in battlegrounds:
CNN POLL CONDUCTED BY SSRS
December 12-15
BATTLEGROUND STATE VOTERS
Choice for PresidentDem. Trump
Biden 47% 47%
Warren 46% 48%
Sanders 45% 49%
Buttigieg 43% 48%

Now this is from a poll with more Democrats: “Among the entire sample, 32% described themselves as Democrats, 27% described themselves as Republicans, and 42% described themselves as independents or members of another party.”
So Alisyn Camerota asks Harry Enten, “Do we have any sense why” this huge move since October?

Enten explains the incredible booming economy numbers which must have been hard for CNN to report, but they did report the highest ratings in almost two decades.
From CNN
As 2019 comes to a close, the US economy earns its highest ratings in almost two decades, potentially boosting President Donald Trump in matchups against the Democrats vying to face him in next yearโs election,
Overall, 76% rate economic conditions in the US today as very or somewhat good, significantly more than those who said so at this time last year (67%). This is the highest share to say the economy is good since February 2001, when 80% said so.
Almost all Republicans (97%) say economic conditions are good right now, as do 75% of independents and 62% of Democrats. Positive ratings are up across parties compared with August of this year, when 91% of Republicans, 62% of independents and 47% of Democrats said the economy was in good shape.
It’s really hard to defeat, when the president is doing a bang up job on the pocketbook issues about which Americans care. You’d have to do something to cloud or distract from that fact or find some other way to beat him.
But that might not work if people get that’s basically what you’re doing.
By the way, what other fact has been going on since October that Americans might not like very much? I’m sure if CNN thinks about it hard enough, they’ll figure it out.
