House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tried to pitch how “solemn” and “dignified” the impeachment vote was on Wednesday.
She even wore black and encouraged some others to wear black in the recognition of it.
But they weren’t quite able to pull it off and concealed how thrilled many were that they were finally able to impeach the president.
Pelosi had warned people not to cheer at the end of the vote. But some started until she gave them a glare to stop.
Here’s Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) calling out the lie.
WATCH → Dems expose their true colors.
Nancy Pelosi had to shut down Democrat applause when the first article of impeachment passed.
So much for Dems claiming impeachment is "solemn" for them.
What a ridiculous lie! pic.twitter.com/NJjzE8y3t7

Impeaching President @realDonaldTrump was such a "somber" and "solemn" moment for Democrats that they had to just start cheering and clapping after they voted to impeach.

Guess that lecture didn’t take.
Let’s also check out these very solemn takes from Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). Both also apparently missed the memo about the black too.
So much for being "sad" and "solemn" about pursuing impeachment…
Democrats erupt in laughter and applause on the House floor shortly after Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters touts, “yes I called for Trump’s impeachment early”pic.twitter.com/sDRpH9Lb64

What the heck is going on with her hands? She’s barely able to contain herself.
Here’s Rep. Adam Schiff lying his head off. Does he ever tell the truth?

Schiff and House Intel Dems drank and cheered at fancy dc restaurant last night.
Rashida ‘Impeach that MF’ Tlaib posted this giddy video on Instagram today.
But Pelosi had the audacity to say on live TV today that this is a ‘somber day’ and no one wanted this.

But here’s the thing, at the end of the day, he’s still president. Even after all they’ve done to undermine him, since before he was even elected. Thursday morning, they’re going to have to wake up to that reality, with the base they sought to appease still mad because he’s there, but the independents and the battleground states moving to vote for President Donald Trump.
Great job, Democrats!
