'Solemn' and 'Prayerful' Impeachment? Not So Much, From Rashida Tlaib and Others

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tried to pitch how “solemn” and “dignified” the impeachment vote was on Wednesday.

She even wore black and encouraged some others to wear black in the recognition of it.

But they weren’t quite able to pull it off and concealed how thrilled many were that they were finally able to impeach the president.

Pelosi had warned people not to cheer at the end of the vote. But some started until she gave them a glare to stop.

Here’s Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) calling out the lie.

Guess that lecture didn’t take.

Let’s also check out these very solemn takes from Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). Both also apparently missed the memo about the black too.

What the heck is going on with her hands? She’s barely able to contain herself.

Here’s Rep. Adam Schiff lying his head off. Does he ever tell the truth?

But here’s the thing, at the end of the day, he’s still president. Even after all they’ve done to undermine him, since before he was even elected. Thursday morning, they’re going to have to wake up to that reality, with the base they sought to appease still mad because he’s there, but the independents and the battleground states moving to vote for President Donald Trump.

Great job, Democrats!
