A new CNN impeachment poll is not offering Democrats any comfort at all when it comes to impeaching President Donald Trump.

CNN did their best to spin the numbers calling the nation “split” which was true but missing the lead – that the majority of Americans were against impeachment and that it had dropped five points since the Democrats had presented their case.

Even more shocking that support for impeachment had not only dropped among Independents and Republicans but also among Democrats, by double-digits, from 90 percent to 77 percent. Finally some truth sinking in?

From Daily Wire:

“Support for impeaching Trump and removing him from office stands at 45% in the new poll, down from 50% in a poll conducted in mid-November just after the conclusion of the House Intelligence Committee’s public hearings,” CNN reported. “Opposition to impeachment and removal stands at 47% in the new poll, up from 43% in November.”

CNN added, “Support for impeachment and removal among Democrats has dipped from 90% in November to 77% now.”

The CNN poll comes on top of other polls showing that support for impeachment is underwater among polls, according to Real Clear Politics. Additionally, that Trump is leading against his democratic opponents, his approval going up and hitting record highs. A focus group of swing Michigan voters who voted for Obama and then voted for Trump also showed a window into how the folks in battleground states are reacting to everything. They are hating impeachment and firmly behind Trump now.

When even CNN can’t manage to spin the facts any better for Democrats, you know they’re in trouble.
