In the wake of all the FISA abuse that was detailed in the IG report, it was clear that while it was an offense against all Americans, it was particularly an offense against Carter Page and the folks on the Trump team who were subjected to the surveillance and the falsehoods spread about them.
Carter Page made it clear to during an interview on ‘Hannity’ that he intended to sue over what was done to him.
He said his lawyers were reviewing the IG report now.
The IG report lays out in great detail all the things that were wrongly done against him, including the deliberate lies and altering of information to continue to surveil him and to falsely paint him as a probably Russian agent. The altering of the information led to a criminal referral that was reported about two weeks ago.
Needless to say, if Page sues, then far more will come out, since Horowitz was limited in what information he could obtain.
Senate Judiciary Chair Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said during the IG hearing that he hoped that Page “sues the hell” out of the FBI and the DOJ for the FISA abuse and using the unverified Steele dossier against him.
Graham noted how despite having holes blown through Christopher Steele’s credibility and that of the dossier by the primary sub source, the man whose information that Steele supposedly relied upon for the dossier, the FBI continued to use it to get warrants against Page, instead of stopping. And they didn’t tell the court about the problems with the dossier.
They took the law into their own hands. The defrauded the FISA Court. They trampled on the constitutional rights of Carter Page, an American citizen.
The day of reckoning is coming. It's not here yet.https://t.co/Ya4vUAu5mM
