Fox is breaking more interesting news about the Durham investigation.

We know the investigation of the origins of the Russia probe has become a criminal investigation.

This gives U.S. Attorney John Durham the power to issue subpoenas to witnesses and impanel a grand jury to get more information and to potentially file charges.

Now a source has told Fox that Durham knows the crimes that were committed, who was involved and what can be charged.

From Fox News:

“You do not impanel a grand jury at this point unless you are going to indict,” a source familiar with the investigation told Fox News. “Durham is at a point where he knows he has crimes and now the question is how many people were involved and they have a pretty good idea of that group of people and what the charges can be and whether or not they can get some cooperators.”

That sounds like they are already far along if they are already debating charges and as though they’ve already impaneled a grand jury.

Prior reports have indicated that the nature of the investigation changed when Attorney General Bill Barr and Durham went to Rome and spoke to Italian intelligence. The Italian Prime Minister confirmed the event. It was after that, reports indicated Durham was “very interested” in questioning both former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan.

Other reports indicate that we may learn more about alleged crimes from the IG report from Michael Horowitz which was investigating the FISA abuse. Crimes could include making false statements to the court in order to get the warrants against Carter Page, for example. They didn’t tell the court that the people behind Christopher Steele were the DNC and the Clinton campaign. They also used news stories from the same source -Steele – to support Steele’s dossier claims, another no-no.

According to Fox:

Former FBI Director Comey signed three FISA applications for Page, while former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and former Acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente signed at least one, according to a House Republican memo filed last year.

One source told Fox News that it would be a “necessity” for Durham to interview the majority of those officials as part of his probe.

Questions have also been raised about the interview documents – the FBI 302s – of Michael Flynn being changed.

The fact that these investigations are coming to a head is not coincidentally at the same time as Democrats are trying to bring a charge-less ‘impeachment inquiry’ against Trump, smearing Barr as partisan and trying to spin the actions of those involved in the Russia probe.

“The Department of Justice under AG Barr has lost its independence and become a vehicle for President Trump’s political revenge,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said in a joint statement after learning Durham’s probe had become a criminal inquiry. “If the Department of Justice may be used as a tool of political retribution or to help the President with a political narrative for the next election, the rule of law will suffer new and irreparable damage.”

John Brennan has also been desperately spinning, admitting to a “deep state” taking action against Trump but claiming they are the noble ones who are trying to “protect our liberties” without getting that it’s shockingly wrong for the intelligence community to try to take out the duly elected president.
