Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) likes to portray itself as a conservative group. They run ads against Amnesty, and went hard after [mc_name name=’Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)’ chamber=’house’ mcid=’M001165′ ]. Like FAIR and NumbersUSA, they want to dupe the American right into thinking they are an ally.

But they aren’t. They have more in common with Chinese Communist hardliners than American conservatives.

Think of it. This anti-amnesty group is complaining that China’s new two-child policy, which will result in forced abortions on a massive scale across China, doesn’t go far enough. CAPS wants to go back to a one-child policy, which will kill more babies still. “Misguided American leaders took issue with this rational and necessary population policy,” they say, just like they claim you have to be misguided to oppose them on birthright citizenship.

The old policy was brutal and inhumane, and the new one is little better. Both dehumanize the unborn, and murder them without regard for the human dignity of mother or child.

Pictured is a “family planning” board in the village of Nonguang, in Sichuan Province. It tracks every birth, records whether it was ‘legal’ or not, and tracks the large fines levied for illegal births. This board went up under the one-child policy and isn’t going away under the two-child policy, but these anti-amnesty fake-conservatives are sad that there will be somewhat fewer abortions in China as families try to dodge boards like these.
