Not only is conservative political commentator, author, and military historian Victor Davis Hanson one of the best in the business; his supreme intellect, everyman style of delivery, and dry sense of humor combine to make him, in my opinion, second to none.
VDH took the opportunity in a recent podcast to share his thoughts on New York City Democrat mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, whose naive, radicalized political views fall somewhere between those of a sidewalk socialist and a dyed-in-the-wool, full-blown Marxist — with a strong tilt toward the latter.

'A Pampered, Privileged, Angry, Young Socialist-Communist'
In his typical laid-back style, VDH calmly blistered Mamdani from the outset:
He's very sensitive about the African American, Latino vote, which I don't think he's going to win. But now we learn that when he applied to college — to Bowdoin — and I think further, to graduate school, in which he was not admitted, he claimed that he was an African American.
And you know, as someone who was in academia for three decades, I used to have students that were from North Africa — Egypt, Morocco, or Algeria — but were not African American. That is, they were not blacks, and they tried that trick and they were not successful.
Neither was Mamdani, but imagine, he's giving lectures — moral lectures, sanctimonious lectures, self-righteous lectures — about how unequal the United States is. And then, yet, he tries to mimic or pass on an Elizabeth Warren or Ward Churchill-like fraud that he's African American.
How awesome of VDH to work in a shot at beyond-leftist Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) — AKA: Fauxcahontas, Lie-A-Watha, Chief Lies-A-Lot, et al. — and of course Ward Churchill, another "fake Indian."

VDH continued bringing the receipts against Mamdani:
[Mamdani claims] he's a black African just because his parents, who were Indian and immigrants to Uganda, and were one of the one-percent elite in that country — and they were thrown out as refugees — he ... claimed that he should have had special preference in admissions because he was black.
You add all of this up and I can guarantee you more will come out every day because he's a pampered, privileged, angry, young socialist-communist. He's had no experience. He's out of depth, and he has a long social media record.
Among Mamdani's most controversial statements that recently resurfaced was the classic Marxist belief, "The end goal is seizing the means of production," which would have made Karl Marx proud as punch of likely the next mayor of New York City.

Hanson saved his best blast against Mamdani for last, and included a well-deserved shot at New York City, to boot (emphasis, mine):
The only question that I have for you, the audience, and me — because I'm genuinely puzzled about it — the more that we hear that he's a lunatic and unhinged and anti-American and socialist [VDH smiled], does that help him or hurt him, given the demographics of New York?
Ouch. Game, set, match — Victor Davis Hanson.
