As the left's collective meltdown continues, now having mostly moved on to hysterics over President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet picks, some on social media are suggesting that they "get over it and move on."
Spoiler: Disaffected left-wing Democrats are never going to get over it and move on.
One British rocker, far from a conservative, doesn't have to get over it; he got from the beginning.
In an op-ed posted to Fox News on Saturday, former Mumford & Sons guitarist Winston Marshall put Trump's historic win into perspective -- including with a bit of humor.
The White House, the Senate, the House, the popular vote, a state legislative and mayoral majority, all on top of the Supreme Court majority... George Clooney retiring from politics and late-night TV hosts like Jimmy Kimmel literally crying on television. It's all too good to be true.
As Marshall sees it, Trump's decisive over Vice President Kamala Harris was "a rebuke of the stale misandristic Democratic Party and everything they represent: woke; envy; censorship; bureaucracy; elite sanctimony; corporate collusion, and war."
We could lengthen that list considerably, but it's fine, for now.
The Brit noticed what tens of millions of relieved Americans also noticed within hours of Trump's win.
And already, America has a spring back in her step. Ebullience fills the air. Hope rushes its veins. The land of freedom has embraced those qualities that made it great -- aspiration, entrepreneurship, responsibility. The nation’s eyes are fixed upwards once again. Up to Mars. Up to God. What a pleasure it was to witness history being made, and to see our transatlantic cousins back on their feet.
How can any patriotic, freedom-loving American not love that?
Says a bit about our radical leftist Democrat friends, doesn't it? Speaking of whom, has anybody checked on Robert De Niro, recently? Or Tom Hanks? O any other bitter Hollywooders who vowed (lied) that they'd leave the country if Trump won? They never leave, of course -- save for Eva Longoria, this time -- the reason being that their silly declarations of defiance are nothing more than faux-brave virtue-signaling to the other loons.
'Britain Today Is What America Would Be if Kamala Had Won'
Alas, this morning I have walked into a parallel universe. Beneath the heavy clouds of Heathrow, I touched down back in Blighty. You see, my country, Britain, today is what America would be if Kamala had won.
Violent criminals released from prison and replaced by Tweeters and Facebook meme creators. Rioters, let alone if they are a protected minority but given the heavy hand if they are indigenous working classes. Crippling taxes against campaign promises.
Full steam into Net Zero [climate] oblivion while protesting farmers roar tractors down Whitehall. And the hapless relinquishing of the Chagos Islands suggests Starmer’s heart is set on making British self-flagellation as public as possible.
All these decisions make sense if one understands the self-hating anti-human globalist ideology behind them.
Does any of that ring a bell?
Much of it has exploded in this country over the last almost four years of the disastrous Biden-Harris administration. That said, as Marshall suggested -- and most if not all conservative Americans believe -- the sheriff is about to return to the White House, he's bringing his "America First" posse with him, and he's going to set about righting the Ship of State, pronto.

Democrats Warned About the Death of Democracy If Trump Won, but Are THEY Trying to Kill It?
Voters Seem to Think Real Threat to Democracy Isn’t Donald Trump. Here's Why They Blame Democrats.
I suggested at the top that the Democrat Party is never going to get it. "Never" is a long time, but as long as the party continues to allow itself to be hijacked by the radical left, it's going to continue to get what got in the 2024 election.
Calling Donald Trump "Hitler," a "fascist," and worse, and labeling Trump supporters as "Nazis" isn't going to get it done. Alienating tens of millions of voters by calling Trump loyalists "garage" and "stupid" won't ever work, either.
The Democrat Party itself is the problem. Moderate congressional Democrats, fearing retribution, refuse to speak out against "gender-affirming care" -- radical mastectomies and castrations of confused kids. They fear speaking out against males in women's sports.
The list goes on, demonstrating in each example that the Democrat Party has left the American people; not the other way around.
I don't know about you, but I've been to the UK. It was fun to visit, but there's no way on God's green earth that I'd live there -- much less raise a family under the country's "broke and broken" system.
If a non-conservative British rocker gets it, Why can't almost half of America? The question is rhetorical; we've already answered it. Ain't that the truth -- on both sides of the Atlantic.
