Desperate Leftists Call on Biden to Commit 'Overtly Unlawful Acts' During His Final Days in Office

With the end of the Biden-Harris Administration drawing closer and closer, prominent left-wingers are seemingly trying to prove that the only difference between a lawbreaker who disregards the U.S. Constitution and a law-abiding citizen is the ability to get away with the crime.

And given presidential immunity, desperate leftists like independent filmmaker Michael Moore and political pundit Keith Olbermann, who's riddled with the worst case of Stage 4 Trump Derangement Syndrome I've ever seen, are calling on Biden to commit clearly unconstitutional acts.

Toss in Democrat Party panic with Kamala Harris' dead-in-the-water campaign, and nothing the left does or tries to do between now and Inauguration Day, January 20, 2025, would surprise me. Nothing.

Let's start with Michael Moore, who doesn't lose his mind like Olbermann does, but his leftist lunacy is just as radical. Moore recently revealed his bucket list of obviously unconstitutional acts that he wants Biden to implement before January 20). Moore wrote in a recent Substack post

You’re not done. You’ve still got 100 days left in office! And the Supreme Court has just granted you super powers — AND immunity! You don’t answer to anyone. For the first time in over 50 years, you don’t have to campaign for anything.

You have full immunity! No kidding! No joke! That’s not hyperbole! You can get away with anything! And what if anything means everything to the people?

Whoa, dude. Calm down. Does poor Michael sound desperate, or what? Earlier in October, he posted about the number-one goal of the left: Beat Trump.

We need to ensure that Trump loses in a landslide, with numbers so massive, the likes of which haven’t been seen since the entire country tuned in to watch Geraldo [Rivera] open up Al Capone’s vault. Because that’s the only way to guarantee his permanent removal from the public eye.

Lest anyone have any doubts, Trump Derangement is a real psychological disorder

Moore's list includes:

[E]mptying death row, canceling all student and medical debt, halting weapons shipments to Israel, ending the death penalty, declaring the Equal Rights Amendment a constitutional amendment, and granting clemency to nonviolent drug offenders.

George Washington University Law School Professor Jonathan Turley weighed in on the unconstitutionality of Moore's wishes.

Many of these items could only be fulfilled by knowingly gutting the Constitution and assuming the powers of a monarch. That includes just canceling all student and medical debt in defiance of both the courts and Congress.

These calls come in the midst of a counter-constitutional movement led by law professors. Moreover, the disregard for such legal authority has been voiced by liberal academics like Harvard Professor Lawrence Tribe. Indeed, his past “just do it” approach was not dissimilar in advice to Biden.

For example, the Biden administration was found to have violated the Constitution in its imposition of a nationwide eviction moratorium through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  Biden admitted that his White House counsel and most legal experts told him the move was unconstitutional.

But he ignored their advice and went with that of Harvard University Professor Laurence Tribe, the one person who would tell him what he wanted to hear. It was, of course, then quickly found to be unconstitutional.

The false premise of the recent calls is that the Court removed all limits on the presidency in its recent ruling on presidential immunity. The fact that law professors are repeating this clearly erroneous claim is a measure of the triumph of rage over reason today.

Oops, leftists, that pesky Constitution of the United States of America might get in your way. Then again, would Biden care what SCOTUS said or ruled, anyway?

Biden Boasts: 'The Supreme Court Didn't Stop Me'

Much has been made about Biden "defying" the Supreme Court and moving ahead with his student loan "forgiveness" plans. While left-wing outlets argue that Biden's revised plans didn't defy SCOTUS rulings, a February Wall Street Journal op-ed took a different position.

American Presidents may not like Supreme Court decisions, but most since Andrew Jackson haven’t bragged about defying its rulings. Not even Donald Trump. Then there’s President Biden, who, while canceling more student debt this week, boasted about ignoring the Supreme Court’s landmark 2023 ruling that his previous loan forgiveness plan was illegal.

Speaking in Culver City, Calif., on Wednesday, Mr. Biden said his original plan to “provide millions of working families with debt relief for their college student debt” was derailed by “MAGA Republicans” and “special interests” who challenged the plan in court. “The Supreme Court blocked it,” Mr. Biden added, “but that didn’t stop me.” He apparently thinks defying the law is a virtue.

On Wednesday Mr. Biden wrote off another $1.2 billion in student-loan debt, bringing the total amount he has canceled to some $138 billion. That’s not as much as the $400 billion debt cancellation a 6-3 Supreme Court majority struck down last summer, but it’s still a handout to 3.9 million borrowers.

And in April, a Fox Business article titled "Biden to defy Supreme Court in second attempt at sweeping student loan handout" read, in part:

The Biden administration is reportedly preparing to take a second crack at broad student loan forgiveness for millions of Americans after the Supreme Court struck down its first attempt.

Citing people familiar, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that the administration will roll out proposed regulations offering sweeping bailouts as early as next week, and "the president’s advisers hope to use the rules to begin canceling waves of student debt in the run-up to the November election."

President Biden's initial student loan handout plan, which would have provided up to $20,000 in debt relief to borrowers who make less than $125,000, was rejected last year by the Supreme Court, which found the administration did not have the authority to cancel the debt. That program was expected to cost the government more than $400 billion.

The White House did not immediately respond to FOX Business' request for comment on the report (or ever).

The salient point is this:

When Democrats don't get their way, their first inclination is to cheat. When cheating doesn't get the job done, they try to change the rules of the game. When that doesn't work, they simply violate or ignore the rules.

We've seen it from the Biden-Harris administration since their first days in office when the southern border was virtually flung wide open, and we've seen it with their so-called student loan "forgiveness" plans, which in reality transfers contractual debt to American taxpayers who didn't borrow it.

The Bottom Line

So the question is this: Would Biden dare to fulfill any of the wishes in Michael Moore's unconstitutional bucket list? I have no idea,  but I do know that Biden is bitter about his party kicking him to the curb, leading him to all but torpedo Kamala Harris' presidential campaign.

Finally, given Biden's bitterness and cognitively vacant brain, he could not only go out with a bang if he jumped on Moore's bucket list; he could also doom the Democrat Party at least through the 2024 general election.
