NEW: Shocking Poll Finds 28 Percent of Democrats Wish Trump Had Been Assassinated

As the Democrats and their lapdog media continue to absurdly blame Donald Trump for two assassination attempts on his life over the course of just 64 days, a shocking new poll found that nearly three out 10 Democrats think America would be better off if the former president had been killed.

Then again, given the constant rage rhetoric on the left, the poll results aren't shocking at all.

A new poll of 1,000 registered voters conducted by veteran pollster Scott Rasmussen's Napolitan News Institute after the second assassination attempt against Trump on Sunday found that 17 percent of respondents believe it would have been better for the country if one of the attempts had succeeded—including 28 percent of Democrats.

That 28 percent speaks volumes about the radicalized left; none of it shocking, all of it ominous.

Who do a plurality of Americans believe is driving would-be assassins to act?

Any guesses? Here's more:

Americans also had strong thoughts on what was driving the would-be assassins to act, with 45 percent suggesting it was anti-Trump rhetoric and 41 percent suggesting it was news media coverage.
Voters also had a theory about the motives of the alleged shooter, with 46 percent saying they were "crazed individuals" while 33 percent believed they were part of an organized effort.

The survey was conducted online by Rasmussen on Sept. 16-17, and had a sampling error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

So where are we, now?

We're where we were on July 12 — the day before the first assassination attempt against the former president. Scratch that. The level of rage rhetoric on the left, including from the ever-bitter Hillary Clinton, is now worse.

During a Monday appearance on ridiculously biased MSNBC, TDS-riddled Hillary raged about her nemesis, who still lives rent-free in her head 24x7. Clinton:

I don't understand why it's so difficult for the press to have a consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is.
You know, the late, great journalist Harry Evans, you know, one time said that, you know, "Journalists should try to achieve objectivity, and by that," he said, "I mean, they should cover the object."
Well, the object, in this case, is Donald Trump, his demagoguery, his danger to our country and the world, and stick with it!

So in addition to Hillary's incendiary nonsense about Trump being a danger to America and the world, she's also upset that the so-called "mainstream" media, including the likes of CNN and MSNBC, don't have a "consistent narrative" against the former president.

HUH?!?

Does Hillary even watch the news? Does she not tune in to the left-wing media and see the never-ending rhetoric about the evils of Donald Trump? The comparisons to Hitler? The silliness about the end of democracy, including presidential elections, if Trump regains the White House? Please.

Then there's "NBC Nightly News" anchor Lester Holt, who doesn't even try to hide the extent of his Trump Derangement Syndrome. On Sunday, after the second assassination attempt, the pretend-journalist absurdly and irresponsibly said:

Today's apparent assassination attempt comes amid increasingly fierce rhetoric on the campaign trail. Mr. Trump, his running mate JD Vance continue to make baseless claims about Haitian immigrants" in Springfield, Ohio, resulting in bomb threats.

Yet still, Democrats continue to blame Donald Trump for attempts on his life.

You ever feel like screaming, "Stop the crazy train! I want to get off!"?

Me, too. But then we'd miss out on all of the "fun."
