I know what you’re already thinking. It was just a matter of time, right? While this latest episode of weather exploitation isn’t the first time the left has absurdly asserted that “racism,” is in part to blame for “climate change” — AKA: “the existential threat to mankind” — it’s definitely among the most preposterous.

So, let’s have a bit of “fun.” I’m going to ask a question at the end, so read the following delusional nonsense closely. Hint: There’s something missing, throughout.

Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, the state’s Democrat candidate for Senate, chaired a recent state government climate change task force that included among its recommendations, anti-racism education. So what does “racism have to do with “global warming,” you ask?

I have no idea — but apparently, Mr. Barnes does.

As reported by Fox News, the so-called Task Force on Climate Change, which Wisconsin Democrat Gov. Tony Evers created and appointed Barnes to lead in October 2019, was tasked with developing strategies to combat climate change (weather cycles). Barnes and his task force delivered a final report in December 2020 that laid out “55 solutions to fight global warming,” focusing heavily on the promotion of so-called “environmental justice.” I know — try to control your shock and amazement.

In a statement following the release of the report, Barnes wrote:

In order to address this crisis and the environmental injustices associated with it, we must take urgent action, and we must ensure those actions are equitable and inclusive—anything less will continue the long pattern of environmental racism we have witnessed in this country.

Environmental racism. Sounds a bit like something Kamala Harris might say, minus that silly word salad style for which Cackles she has become “renowned.”

The task force recommended implementing an anti-racism education curriculum across all Wisconsin government entities through “executive action and legislation,” asserting that racism is linked to “global warming.” Here’s Barnes, again:

Environmental racism and climate change are inextricably linked because the embedded racism and bias that exist within social, government, corporate, and financial systems deem who benefits from activities that produce harmful emissions and who suffer most from the consequences.

“Historically, communities of color and low-income communities have suffered the most,” Barnes claimed.

It makes total sense [sarcasm] for a task force formed to study climate change to reduce its narrative-driven self to irrelevantly dwelling on racism, of course. [heavy sarcasm] Hence, “Systemic racism remains embedded in our social structures,” the report charged, and that the average American’s historical and racial literacy is “depressingly low.”

The report also suggested using “unconscious bias education to prevent future unjust laws.” Wait — unconscious bias education? Doesn’t unconscious bias indoctrination exactly describe the intentional programming of young children with Marxist-derived so-called “critical race theory“? [The answer is a resounding yes.]

Among the report’s other suggestions were the creation of an Office of Environmental Justice, mandating a “racial disparity impact study,” and launching a climate change “education campaign.” Lemme fix that: a climate change re-eduction campaign.

Speaking of “critical race theory,” Barnes didn’t miss an opportunity to promote the controversial philosophy, arguing that religious education is closer to indoctrination than education. I could be wrong, but public school systems have been caught with their race-obsessed pants down as they have tried — in many cases, clandestinely — to indoctrinate children as young as kindergarten age.

Many of the same people rallying against critical race theory on the basis of “indoctrination” are totally cool with tax dollars going towards religious education.

As noted by Fox, Barnes is running against incumbent Republican Sen. Ron Johnson in the upcoming November midterm election. The race is currently rated as a “toss-up” by Cook Political Report, while a recent Fox News poll showed Barnes with a slight lead over Johnson.

The bottom line:

Now that question I said I was going to ask at the end:

Did you see one fact or statistic in Barnes’s comments? Just one? Or even a whiff of logic or common sense? I did not. What did we see?

The same tired old left-wing activist groupspeak we always see, heavy on hyperbolic (and racist, I would argue) claims and accusations, and totally devoid of facts, data, history, logic, or even common sense.

In other words, a perfect illustration of today’s Democrat Party as a whole.
