President of Nation's Largest Teachers Union Vows to Force Schools to Promote 'Gay' and 'Trans' Agendas

Anyone who pays a modicum of attention to America’s teachers unions is well aware of the insidious drive prevalent in many schools systems to warp the impressionable minds of our young kids, but I decided to do a quick hit on this story — mainly to reinforce the reality of the left’s obsession with forcing gay and trans “education” on children as young as kindergarteners.

Anyway, Becky Pringle, the president of the National Education Association (NEA) — the nation’s largest teachers union — told delegates at the beginning of the NEA’s Representative Assembly in Chicago on Sunday that 2016 was the year of a “fateful election,” one that made clear the U.S. Supreme Court would become “radicalized.”

Translation: Evil Donald Trump “radicalized” SCOTUS by nominating three associate justices who would generally vote to uphold the U.S. Constitution versus attempt to legislate from the bench. That was exactly the case when the votes of Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett made possible the 5-4 majority opinion to overturn Roe vs. Wade, correctly returning the abortion question to the elected officials of the 50 states.

Further translation: When the liberals don’t get their way, they lie about conservatives.

Together, as one union, we will reclaim public education as a common good and ensure our schools are places where everyone, EVERYONE can learn, grow, and thrive. The #RedForEd movement continues.

“Shockingly,” the “Socialist-led RedforEd Movement” appears to be far more interested in radical indoctrination than in the promotion of quality education. The same may accurately be said of the NEA.

“We knew we would feel the effects of a radicalized Supreme Court issuing decisions that do not reflect the views of the values of America,” Pringle told NEA delegates. Really? “Radicalized”? Let’s check out the following healthy dose of radicalism in your address, Ms. Pringle.

We will fight unceasingly for the rights of our LGBTQ plus students and educators. We will say ‘gay’; we will say ‘trans’; we will use the words that validate our students and their families that encourage them to walk in their authenticity, to love themselves fully to be who they are meant to be.

As Star Network News also noted, the NEA provides a “toolkit” of LGBTQ+ “resources” for public school teachers to help them support “transgender and non-binary students” and to be “more inclusive of LGBTQ+ history in their classrooms, and to stop LGBTQ+ bias and intolerance in our public schools.”

As to the Roe overturn, Pringle also went full-metal left-wing liar loon. Emphasis, mine:

We knew that the ground had shifted and the stage had been set to move us further away from the promise of America for all Americans, from decisions on school prayer that attack religious freedom, to vouchers that threaten the right to a universal public education, to the long-term, devastating impact of the Supreme Court’s decision to hijack the fundamental freedom to decide for ourselves, when and how to have a family and the care that we need.

Allowing private prayer in school is not “an attack on religious freedom,” Ms. Pringle; it is the preservation of religious freedom for those who choose to pray. And thank God — again, if you will — for constitutionalists on the Supreme Court. As reported by my colleague Streiff in late June, SCOTUS in a 6-3 decision ruled that a school district in left-wing nirvana Seattle, Washington, could not discipline (in this case, fire) a football coach for praying on the 50-yard line at the end of games.

As to “vouchers that threaten the right to a universal public education,” Pringle was being disingenuous at best, outright lying at worst. (Pick “B.”) What school vouchers threaten, Ms. Pringle, are powerful teachers unions, not to mention mediocre teachers at mediocre schools. And SCOTUS’s opinion? The Supreme Court in late June struck down a Maine law that excluded most religious private schools from a voucher program that is in place in similar secular schools. Even NBC News said SCOTUS got it right.

And as to the ridiculous notion that the Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe “hijacked fundamental freedom,” or stopped women (and men) from deciding “when and how to have a family,” it’s just more of the same old, worn-out liberal lies. Memo to left-wing women: Conservatives are not concerned in the least with the choices you make about your bodies. What we are very much concerned with are the defenseless little bodies within your bodies — and only you are responsible for them being there.

The bottom line:

As it relates to “say gay,” “say trans,” or whatever other letter(s) of the ever-lengthening LGBTQIA+ acronym you want to “say,” decisions made by adults about their own sexuality, “gender identification,” and whatever they choose to do to — or with — their bodies is solely their choice. It goes without saying. Personally, I could not care less.

However, twisted adults attempting to twist the minds of young impressionable children, particularly against the will of the parents of children so afflicted, should be the business of all decent Americans — not that of the radical left and its immoral death grip on public education.
