War is hell. Intentionally directing attacks against individual civilians not taking direct part in hostilities is a war crime in violation of the laws of war, according to the Geneva Convention — let alone all that is decent.
If the below video is legit, Vladimir Putin and his Russian Army are guilty as hell of both.
As reported by TMZ, the shocking video captured the moment an alleged Russian tank annihilated a civilian car, reportedly killing an elderly couple inside. The incident occurred on Tuesday, noted TMZ, in the town of Makariv, just outside Kyiv.
The tank appeared to fire several cannon shots, the first one tearing through a stand of trees as the tank began to round a corner. There was no apparent threat posed in the video, which appears to have been captured by a nearby surveillance camera.

The tank opens fire just seconds after the car comes to a stop in the middle of an empty street.
The elderly man and woman, apparently dead and leaning against one another, were later filmed up close.

That said, war crimes are war crimes and brutal Russian aggression is brutal Russian aggression. No amount of minimizing, rationalizing, or speechifying about the history of the complicated relationship between Ukraine and Russia can change a damn thing about that reality.
