Could it be? Finally? Or, was it inevitable, given the insidious shift by untold numbers of liberals further and further to the radical left? Is self-declared socialist Bernie Sanders finally going take over the Democrat Party? Relevant and open questions that will perhaps soon be answered.
Whatever the answers, the Democrat Party is on the brink. It is a party at war with itself, with the hard left hellbent on destroying America as we know it — and Joe Biden desperately (though lying his ass off every step of the way) trying to hang onto the shambles of his disastrously failed presidency.
This headline on Fox News earlier this week sums it up, nicely:
Biden walks on eggshells as approval sinks, far-left loses confidence, and GOP ‘ready to pounce’
“As President Biden and the Democratic Party enter a fierce midterm election year,” notes Fox News, “some progressives within his own party are considering challenging him in 2024.”
And according to Politico, several key Democrat strategists believe a so-called progressive will enter the 2024 primary race and challenge a Biden re-election, should he indeed run. Jeff Weaver, a former presidential campaign manager for Sanders, all but confirmed it:
Will there be a progressive challenger? Yes.
Corbin Trent, co-founder of the progressive No Excuses PAC and former communications director for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) went bottom-line on Biden in no uncertain terms, as transcribed by Fox:
He’s deeply unpopular. He’s old as sh*t. He’s largely been ineffective unless we’re counting judges or whatever the hell inside-baseball scorecard we’re using. And I think he’ll probably get demolished in the midterms.
People will smell opportunity, and D.C. is filled with people who want to be president.
Um, Joe? Dude, you better start sleeping with one eye open — if you know what I mean.
Here’s the thing. If Biden does get primaried, particularly by a far-left challenger, it will be significant.
The far-left wasn’t happy with Sanders being screwed by the Democrats after he gained momentum in the 2020 primary and continued to rack up delegates — until Biden won South Carolina and the Democrats circled the wagon against Bernie. He was also screwed in the 2016 Democrat primary by Hillary’s ridiculous “superdelegates.”
All of the above said, as Politico noted, the leftists ended up being among Biden’s staunchest allies.
Top progressive aides helped elect Biden, and liberal House and Senate members have strongly defended his agenda in Congress. And why wouldn’t they? Biden from Day One of his occupation of the Oval Office has signed every radical-left executive order shoved in front of him, no doubt clueless about the details of at least half of them.
It gets better. And far more fun.
As Fox reported, a leftist group named Occupy Biden formed a camp near the embattled president’s Delaware home the week after Christmas, and promptly demanded that he declare a “climate emergency.”

A group spokesperson blasted Biden for not doing enough about climate change — despite Corn Pop’s pal incessantly blathering on about “an existential threat to human existence as we know it” — when he’s not blathering on about COVID vaccines, a “winter of severe illness and death,” and other such hyperbolic nonsense, that is. Via Fox:
We do understand that an administration that at least believes and asserts that climate crisis is real is an asset. But in a time of emergency, we must act to do everything possible to avert catastrophe.
[Rolling-eyes emoji]
The list goes on. As suggested by the No Excuses PAC cofounder, Biden’s continuing decline in mental acuity is paramount — and not be more clear.
Joe Biden on gas prices:

The guy forgets the names of his own cabinet members, and earlier this week said “there’s a lot of reason to be hopeful in 2020,” and thinks things are going just swell with his failed presidency. And now, the far-left faction of the Democrat Party and Congress is champing at the bit for radical change like never before.
So, what about Bernie?
The Gilded Age is not ancient history — the average American worker produces far more today than they did decades ago, yet that worker is worse off economically than they were in 1973. pic.twitter.com/D9HVAMy59p

Sanders will be 83 on Election Day, 2024 — 14 months older than Biden.
Would that be an issue to the far-left? Not in a heartbeat. He has his wits about him — although his politics are delusional and hypocritical as hell — and unlike Biden, shows no outward signs of mental decline. As a result, assuming he remains healthy, the growing far-left might very well turn to him as their Biden slayer, or perhaps a younger socialist that Sanders might back, if he stays out of the race.
If we’ve learned anything about presidential politics over at least the last almost six years it is that — in the crazy times that now engulf us — anything can happen.
Including an 83-year-old socialist finally hauling his massive wealth-redistribution scheme and climate change nonsense across the Democrat finish line.
I asked several questions at the top. They remain open. Thoughts?
